The Winery Restaurant has been an icon among western Colorado restaurants for over 35 years. The restaurant makes its home in a 95 year old building that used to house a horse drawn fire station. A gas lamp lit, grapevine canopied alley frames this romantic location perfectly. The beautifully remodeled building contains flowered stain glass windows, barn wood and bricks.

Steve Thoms acquired the restaurant in late June of 2004 after taking a couple of years off from his previous restaurant. His mission at he Winery is simple: Show the restaurant and its patrons the attention that they deserve. Use only top quality ingredients, and establish The Winery as the premiere restaurant in the Grand Junction area.

The Winery provides a variety of steaks, chicken, pork and fresh seafood specials nightly in an atmosphere that can not be rivaled anywhere!

Super professioneller Service, mit leckerem Essen. Wir saßen im kleinen Innenhof, der sehr charmant ist. Riesige Auswahl an Weinen. Wir würden wieder gehen!

Gute Küche. Unamerikanische Portionen. Dessert hat noch Platz. Haben uns mit einem 60isten Geburtstag angemeldet. Schade, das Restaurant hat nicht mal ein Dessert dem Geburtstagskind offeriert. Wir haben USD 600 liegen lassen....

Food definitely does not match menu pictures. I don’t mind paying more for quality food, but the winery does not know quality food and ruined my dinner. I was surprised the steak was actually cooked to temp because the crab out of can measured with a measuring cup and flipped on plate and was gross. Second time being here. First time was the lamb chops which where dry and not Very flavorful. This time went with the 6oz filet Oscar style. Honestly looked like I had nacho cheese sauce dumped all over plate. Looked disgusting and for 76 dollars the owners of this restaurant should be embarrassed. Stick to the nicer restaurants. Moodys, 626 on rood heck the road house has a better steak then “The Winery”

Always a pleasurable experience. The owner himself greeted us and welcomed us in. Waiter and support staff were all friendly and engaging.

The food is amazing. Old school steakhouse. It’s 80s cowboy with good local wine.

I have been to a lot of nice restaurants throughout the country but I still have not been to any that compare with The Winery in Grand Junction, Colo. Not only is the food outstanding but the service is always above what you would expect. Also the atmosphere is very classy but still makes you feel comfortable & relaxed. I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years now & I still love it.

Fantastic service, great food, classy atmosphere. Best “fancy” dining experience we’ve had o. The western slope in over two years. Highly recommend for a quality date night.
