Das The Star Inn The City erwartet Sie am Fluss im alten Maschinenhaus am Rande von York "s Museum Gardens, ganz in der Nähe der historischen Lendal Bridge. Passend zur beneidenswerten Lage des Restaurants werden die besten Produkte aus God's Own Country angeboten. Die einmalige Gastfreundschaft von Yorkshire macht das Paket vollkommen. Definitely one of the better places to eat in Yorkshire, Fresh, clever & quality food. These qualities are difficult to find, when picking somewhere to dine. I have always found something is slightly missing on all of my visits to The Star Inn the City, I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it’s just me & I am being too picky. Although maybe some of the dishes are slightly over priced, On the other hand maybe you know better than I do on this matter 🤔 Thank you very much, we had a lovely evening & will definitely return.

Been a few years since we had been to the Star in the City and the experience was really good, the service exceptional, food - as good as it gets relatively speaking and would highly recommend. We are vegetarian mostly and there were some tasty choices available, wonderfully cooked and presented. Overall a brilliant experience for my other half surprise birthday treat. Thank you so much guys!

Food was perfectly acceptable but I had anticipated something more ‘special’ for the money. The pictures on the Guide Michelin look quite different to what we got. The traditional fish and chips with curry sauce lacked flavour and didn’t come with salt and vinegar potato scraps as advertised. The steak was good but we had had better for less than the 37 pounds charged. Service was great but after going to Skosh the night before I was rather underwhelmed and didn’t find it good value.

This was a very good experience, first time we have visited the star.staff were very professional, polite,and very helpful.food was very very good,great value not to expensive. Will definitely return to the star on our next visit.recommend to anybody who want a calm and relaxing meal.

A handsome room, very good food and excellent service. A little quiet on a midweek evening but would certainly recommend for a group celebration. Main courses quite dear but paired wines were good value and quality. Emphasis on local and foraged ingredients was to its credit.

We had a fabulous experience here! Me and my partner are both gluten intolerant and we’re delighted to find out that every dish bar 2 on the starters and mains menu could be modified, and there was also a separate GF dessert menu. The staff were very knowledgeable about this, and were the perfect balance of being on hand whenever needed but also discreet and leaving the diners to their evenings. Food was fabulous, interesting and quirky but always focused on the taste.
