I finally managed to be free on a Sunday and I booked for the Sunday roast. I wanted to come for a long time but was never free. I must say it exceeded my expectations. I knew it was going to be good but it was not just good, it was magnificent. The service, the atmosphere, the buzz, and the food were just perfect. I started with the cod roe and padron peppers plus the bread and cultured butter. Then I had the ham, the beef brisket with all the trimmings, and a treacle tart to end what has been an absolutely perfect meal. I drunk excellent wines, a great white to go with the cod roe, then another for the ham, and a red to go with the brisket . The dessert was paired with Pol Roger and the incredibly nice sommelier made me taste a Marsala. They even gave me a salted caramel mini fudge to go with it. Amazing ! I must stress the service has been The best I had in a very long time. Everybody is competent, efficient, smiling, and they know what to recommend and how to make people feel good. I am truly impressed and can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much guys you are incredible !

The set lunch menu was great value and we changed our main course to the vegetarian dish without question. Great pudding a great menu to enjoy in the cold weather.

We went to QCH based on David Lebovitz May 7, 2024 article about eating in London. He wasn’t wrong. Waiter was witty and knowledgeable. Every course was amazing. Our only regret was that by the time we got to desert, we were no longer able to eat another thing. That’s on us.

Fantastic historic restaurant with a constantly evolving menu alongside some regular items. Everything we had from the cocktails to the wine to the food was fab!

Outstanding quality of food
Staff were super friendly and warm.
Very pricey though (£220 for 2 people sharing a bottle of wine).
The wine we chose wasn’t my favourite, and the cheapest was £40+
Middle white pork, bone in steak, confit potatoes, smoked cod’s roe and olive oil ice cream were standouts

This is a great restaurant for history and ambiance. The food is good, nothing overwhelming. Our waiter gave us fantastic wine recommendations.
