   We appreciate the staff was doing there best. We haven’t been to melting pot in a little while. Sadly to say, the prices have remained as a high priced restaurant, but is much more a family friendly, lower budget vibe. Won’t plan on attending again for a date night.

   Expensive, very little ambiance and super low banquet seats awkward for fondue pots. Waitress was great and gave good explanations and was chipper - without her experience might have been almost depressing. We ran out of cheese before bread. Meat options were good and liked grill and boil options together. Left smelling awful from the fondue pots so don’t wear anything you don’t want to dry clean and you’ll need a shower after if you have long hair. Great for novelty but wouldn’t go regularly.

   This location has turned around from my experience a couple years back. I would’ve recommended staying at the Tacoma location due to size and ambience and theme of that location, but this one here in Bellevue has surprised me. Maybe due to new management? Quality of service has gone up since then and our server was very polite and nice and lovely. The guest check in hostesses created and set our table up for a Sunday evening “Valentines” dinner since we chose to avoid the rush and this already had won me and my girlfriend over. A great surprise and the food was fresh and the fondue was great. Offering vegan option for my girlfriend and for me to enjoy my meats and seafood I enjoy. I would recommend booking a dinner or lunch here as like I said quality has been met to where I feel I can recommend this location as a viable option versus traveling down to Tacoma for their bigger venue. Love this spot now and reminds me of a small little get away in France or Italy.

   Overly priced, chintzy (paper placemats and bubble tubes- who wants bubbles in their food?), and I got sick from the food. The bathroom was a mess, one stall clogged and water all over the floor, overflowing trash can. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 45 minutes in the tiny entry all packed in together before a table was ready. The meal was pre-fixe and not a good value ($125 each plus a 20% gratuity in advance and tax charged on it all for fewer choices than one typically gets and not quality). The restaurant gave everyone who came a preprepared "gift" of a wine stopper (we don't keep wine in the house), and a $50 off coupon along with another coupon that was likely worth 15-20 for the owner's other restaurant. That's over $70 of "rebates" that could have been taken off the exorbitant costs. Free glasses of prosecco don't matter if you don't drink, and charging for sparkling water in lieu of prosecco is stupid. The food was smaller portions and the menu was a less than desirable departure from the typical fare. The Melting Pot used to be a fine dining establishment that justified its high prices by offering ambience and quality, but it has been going down for years, and this is the latest iteration. I doubt we will ever go back to use our $50 coupon, which likely is why they can afford to make such a lavish offer. Most people won't go back. Not the end to my Valentine's Day I was hoping.

   We got the big night out deal for 2. Was pretty pricey after the 3% surcharge + 20% tip. The fillet was so good. Definitely worth it

   Food was great as always. Waiter was friendly, but took forever to get drinks and food. Not sure if it was him or the kitchen/bar. Arrived at 5:30 and dinner took 3 plus hours. Both drinks and food were slow to arrive.

   I’m probably done with Melting Pot. Service continues to go down hill. Food is fine, but not sure what you get matches what you pay. The 4% service charge included on all checks, and in small print on the bottom of the menu, is BS.

   The Melting Pot is a whole experience. We usually go with the fondue 4-course meal deal, but this time we went a la carte because my daughter didn’t want a salad and I didn’t want the entree. So we saved a few bucks. Their food was fresh and tasty. And it was just enough. The courses are spread out enough that you don’t get too stuffed. The chocolate fondue was amazing. It’s expensive but it is worth the occasional splurge.

   Planned an early Galentine for my girls. I reserved ahead, asked if happy hours were available and was given confirmation. Day of the reservation: some of my friends arrived early and reminded me that the bar side was where happy hour was available. As I was on the way to the reservation, my friend called and asked if we could get Happy Hour area. I was confirmed that yes they would accommodate seating upon arrival. As I checked in, the host bait and switched us saying "sorry the bar tables aren't available on the weekend" and of course there were two other ladies at the bar row that made it impossible for my group of 5 to take the row and do happy hour. We were then escorted to a table that turned out to be for another family that came AFTER us. After taking us for a walk to nowhere we had to wait and then watch the other party get seated. The guy jokingly said, " don't worry they will seat you soon". Continuing to get seated in a corner, the waitress pressed on us to order despite us telling her we were thrown off the plan because the front-end staff couldn't get their story straight and some of us had budgeted. we split a meal to help and with the lights being so dim and we picked a grill, we couldn't really see our meats if they were fully cooked or not despite using the timers given. we thought that was the ambiance but suddenly near the end of our dessert, they turned on the lights more. One of my girlfriends had to leave after because their stomach was hurting. The day after, my other friend had stomach problems as well. It wasn't a great night at the melting pot and I'm glad I picked a secondary bar afterward to wash off that horrible vibe. Receptionists should really get their story straight and help guests with their reservations so they don't come in constantly being told changes. Overall not a great first experience at this melting pot and not sure if I would recommend anyone not white to go there.
