Nestled on the banks of the majestic Assiniboine River at the western edge of Winnipeg’s city limits, our beautifully restored country estate re-opened in August 2006 as the premier dining and banquet facility in Manitoba. Under new ownership and with a fresh new look, we provide world-class services, spectacular local cuisine, and an unparalleled ambience to meet your every need.

Today, The Gates on Roblin spans the immaculate seven-acre property and include a state-of-the-art 16,000 square foot banquet hall, sophisticated lounge area, one of the best veranda's in Winnipeg, upscale private dining rooms, and of course our wonderful bakery.

We went to The Gates on Roblin for our anniversary. Our server was Ethan. He made good suggestions regarding food, wine and beer. He knew what was on the menu without having to consult a list. It was quite busy but he managed to serve every table. We ordered the yam salad, the 12oz prime rib, and sautéed mushrooms. All of it delicious. The prime rib was cooked to our liking. We were pleasantly surprised by the carrot cake with the sparkler in it. All in all, a lovely evening out.

Their menu is pricey, but they have an excellent Chef with imagination. Then food was prepared to perfection. The taste and the presentation was exceptional. The noise level allowed us to converse, which is always a plus. We were certainly not disappointed. All together a very good experience.

The ambiance was excellent as usual however I ordered prime rib done medium well and it came out rare. In fairness they did not charge me for the prime rib.

Wow is all we can say! We were so impressed...our food amazing....so delicious. The service was outstanding. The soft music playing in the back ground wasn't so loud that you could actually enjoy yourself and talk with your guests. We were so impressed we are having our annual Christmas dinner event at The Gates on Roblin as well this year. Definitely worth every penny.

Birthday for GF and family in attendance. Great vibe and delicious breakfast buffet. Try to hit The Gates once a year to enjoy because the price is higher. Variety of food makes it worthwhile.

Food was great, longer wait as kitchen serving a large group. Went there for birthday celebration, waiter brought out a comp desert which was very nice, but he thought we were celebrating an anniversary. We overall service, food and ambiance was very good.
