   A good menu selection of your favorites and of true character of an Italian restaurant. The good news is that the homemade pasta came al dente like it should. And, if you respect getting a large portion with sides and salad you've come to the right place. One of our diners got the Lasagna and it probably could have fed 3 people. Lastly, our server was lovely. The bad news is that the food is just average for the price. Some have said in other reviews that it was an overrated olive garden. I had one of the veal dishes which they rave about. The first couple of bites were tough but then it got more tender. The worst though is the grilled calamari. I love fried calamari but when I see grilled on the menu, I love it even more. The waitress asked our person ordering the apps if we were sure about it. I said, "yes of course", I love grilled calamari." She said "it's not very good". We ordered anyway. It states grilled calamari with balsamic reduction on a bed of lettuce. It was terrible. I ate about 5 pieces the balance of the table if they tried it each had one. The waitress came back to ask how it was and the person ordering said "fine". But, I called her over and said, "you're absolutely right that it was terrible". She was kind enough to take it off the bill. It tasted like something that had been grilled on the BBQ with a bad charcoal flavor aside from that no flavor. I know grilled calamari with garlic, olive oil, maybe tomatoes, parsley and light and delicious. This was not.

   Attentive service, good food, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable pricing. It has been several years since we last dined here, but we will be back here more frequently. Very enjoyable experience.

   My wife and I have eaten here every week while we have been in Naples for season and the food is off the charts and service is second to none. One of the finest Italian restaurants in the 239.

   Sophia’s is a special place! The food is awesome. Exceptional Italian. The veal is to die for. Naples has many excellent restaurants. Sophia’s is our “go to” when visiting Naples. Bon appetite!

   I love Italian food and this restaurant rates as one of the best I have tried. The raspberry blue cheese salad was delicious. I had the veal marsala and my husband had the chicken piccata. Both meals were outstanding.

    Tonight we had invited 8 people to come to Sophia’s for dinner. All of them were Italian, some from New York from New Jersey. None had ever eaten at Sophia‘s. I have nine of us seven all got veal shops. The stuffed veal chop Marsala was off the chain. Sophia’s has the absolute best Caesar salad dressing. We had the most amazing dessert, tableside bananas Foster. It was outrageously good.
