   Tonight we had invited 8 people to come to Sophia’s for dinner. All of them were Italian, some from New York from New Jersey. None had ever eaten at Sophia‘s. I have nine of us seven all got veal shops. The stuffed veal chop Marsala was off the chain. Sophia’s has the absolute best Caesar salad dressing. We had the most amazing dessert, tableside bananas Foster. It was outrageously good.

   On our anniversary and the best thing we could do was get a Sofia’s veal chop each. We’ve had way too many mediocre, ridiculously expensive Italian places in Naples and this is our go-to. The staff let us have a leisurely, romantic, delicious, and delightful time.

   The most delicious dinner and phenomenal service. Took a client and their family for the first time they absolutely loved the meal. They are from Rome and was very happy with the veal selection. The restaurant was packed and that is always good to see.

   Sebastian our server was perfect. He should train all servers on how to be efficient, courteous, attentive and pleasant while still being unobtrusive. The dining room was very busy and our entree was a bit slow coming to the table, but definitely worth the wait.

   We had a nice dinner and the food was very good. Bread, salad, and pasta was included with our meals. You won’t leave there hungry. My only criticism is that the waitress had to carry martinis to our table full to the rim. It worked well until she put the drinks down, they spilled a bit. They should be delivered in a shaker which would end all the excitement.

   The Penne A la vodka had a good flavor but the pasta was pasty. The chicken Marsala was very bland. Not much of a Marsala taste at all. Chicken was tender and a decent portion. Their prices for drinks are outrageous. $24.00 for a crown & water and $18.00 for a Tanqueray and tonic. Really weak drinks in very small glasses. I might understand if I were in New York City or LA at some fancy restaurant. Nothing fancy about this place. Salads come with your meal. We ordered a raspberry blue cheese salad which they said was a small up charge of $5.00. When the bill came they charged us $16.00 for the salad plus a $5. up charge. We mentioned it and they removed the 16.00. Don’t think we’ll be going back here anytime soon.

   Food was very mediocre. It took a really long time to get our food. My veal had such a thick coat of egg wash you couldn’t even taste the veal. We had been before but maybe the quality has gone down. They tried to seat us at the bar which basically looks at wall even though there were tables. Not a good experience and that was from the owner.

    Food was OK. Service was very poor. Didn't get my pasta until everyone else had already finished their meals even though reminded them of it 3 times.
