   The Sheldon Inn has quickly become one of our favorite spots—we’ve been here four times in just a few weeks, and every visit has been fantastic! This time, we had the chance to dine on the second floor for the first time. It’s a bit louder up there, but the atmosphere is still charming and unique. Our waiter was very friendly, though not the most knowledgeable when it came to wine etiquette. That said, the service was still great, and the food was absolutely top-notch as always. The steak was cooked to perfection, the salmon was delicious, and the burger remains the best we’ve ever had. We finished the meal with a decadent dessert that was the perfect ending to a great night. If you’re looking for a consistently excellent dining experience, The Sheldon Inn is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

   The Sheldon Inn is a really great "fine dining" restaurant in our area, with great ambiance . We've been there many times and always had wonderful dinners. We were there this time with our friends, celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary. Our two ladies had the salmon, and both said the salmon was just "off" in taste from the usual great dinner. I had the double pork chop, and I ate it all, but the chop was a tad dry. A bit more gravy sauce would have helped. My Ceasars salad was terrific. My wife had the beet salad, and she loved it as well. Overall, we had a lovely dinner. It's a great restaurant for a special occasion. We'll for sure be back again.

   Wonderful selection of food. Wait service was friendly and knowledgeable. Came around just enough to not be an annoying waiter. Have came here several times and will come back again.

   The Sheldon Inn is very welcoming. Nideh, our server, was very cordial, knowledgeable and checked back several times during the meal to make sure everything was satisfactory. Presentation was great; all of the dishes we tried were very tasty. The pace was very nice. The cocktails we ordered were expertly prepared. We’ve been to the Sheldon a few times before and have always been pleased.

    Celebrated our 19th Anniversary dinner here and cannot express enough how amazing our experience was. From the cordial greetings from the beautiful hostess upon opening, the service (Sean/Shawn- sorry on not knowing which way you spell it) the support wait team to the chefs… truly a memorable time! Personalized touches (our menu special made for US) of the menu, and the hostess capturing a special photo as well. That was great…but the FOOD! Yes holy heck the food! Hubby had the smoked prime rib- which was cooked amazingly! The flavor was to die for!!! We will now spend many Sundays here just for that! I had the Salmon which was equally delicious. Oh shoot wait- how dare I skip past our appetizers- the deviled eggs with the greens- I must learn how to make this at home! And also had the crab cakes which I read were highly recommended and I concur! The ambiance was amazing- quiet and intimate. Been before in Mothers Day and could barely hear the person next to me- but tonight was perfect! I cannot thank the team at Shelton Inn for a better night out in our amazing town of Elk Grove/Sheldon/Wilton. A definite recommendation to anyone spending a special occasion or just to go for a relaxing diner in the bar area!
