Das Scalini Fedeli wurde vom Inhaber und Küchenchef Michael Cetrulo 1995 eröffnet und wurde sehr schnell zum bestbewerteten italienischen Restaurant in New Jersey. 1996 wurde es von der New York Times exzellent bewertet, laut Zagat`s Survey war es 2001 das beliebteste Restaurant in New Jersey und 2007 war es laut dem New Jersey Monthly Magazine das beste italienische Restaurant und insgesamt unter den Top 25. Zu den Highlights des Menüs gehören Eigelbravioli mit schwarzer Trüffelbutter, Lachs in Pinienkernkruste mit Artischocken, Minz-Agnolotti in leichtem Tomaten-Basilikum-Fond sowie geschmorte Rippchen vom Rind mit Kirschpfeffer und Portwein-Glasur. Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem historischen Gebäude aus dem Jahr 1740. Die leicht förmliche Atmosphäre verdankt es den toskanischen Gewölbedecken mit venezianischem Putz. Tapisserie und antike Spiegel zieren die Wände.

Everything was very good until after dinner. Our server offered us coffee/tea but never brought around an after dinner drink list or offered to. I was in the mood for an after dinner drink and all the sever brought was the check. Guess they wanted us out of there.

As always, excellent food, service, and ambiance. The $72 price fixe is bargain, as there is a wide selection of offerings, the portions are generous, even the intermezzo, and the restaurant will make accommodations due to dietary needs/preferences. In addition, one is never rushed at Scalini Fideli.

Fantastic food and service. Wonderful experience from beginning to end. It’s quite expensive but for a special occasion where you don’t mind a splurge it can’t be beat.

Wonderful dining experience for our group of 5 - three of whom were first timers. Staff was wonderfully accommodating for a dairy-free meal and recommended a truly affordable option for a great wine. Service was attentive but never hovering.
