Every thing about our night out was great until they brought the bill...i know things have a service charge but to stand there and say you don't have to pay it if you dont want kinda puts you on the spot a bit ,but our service charge was £7 (which i didnt pay by the way ) as£7 pounds for carring 2 plates is a bit high and if service charge wasnt on the bill we would have left a tip at our discretion...as we are pensioners and i felt for the group of8 students opposite whose bill was over £200 pound making that £20...im just glad we did not order a bottle of champagne at £100 as that would have been another £10for carring it to the table .......bit naughty Lucias

Went for our wedding. We honestly were treated so well I couldn't have gone to a better place to enjoy our day. Thank you to all the staff you all made it such a wonderful day. The food was fabulous and the drinks were impeccable!!! Thank you all!!!

We were treated to afternoon tea. A gift voucher from our son and new daughter in law. Not that we had paid I thought the price of the afternoon tea for what we got was rather expensive. Not a price I would have paid. The tea was quite nice, my wife had a pot of tea and I ordered coffee. On the menu it stated a pot of coffee. All I got was a cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly, but didn’t come to ask if everything was ok. It was a nice experience but having had afternoon tea in other places it was expensive compared to other venues.

We're so lucky to have The Old Black Bull as our local Always great food and Amazing service. Kevin and his team make everyone very welcome whether you are a local or just visiting the area. The Hawkstone cider is very moreish (my usual drink). The wine choice is I think hand picked by Kevin and shows by its quality

One of our favourite places, the food is really good quality and extremely friendly staff.
