   We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.

   When we went this time it was Curry Night. The food was very nice. We have been before and had something on the normal menu. The food is lovely. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very interesting history about the building. We would definitely recommend this place.

   We had a lovely meal, service was great from the staff. I had the vegan curry which was lovely. Been a few times for food never fails me. Thanks once again.

    This is a fab place to eat and if you can get the upstairs table by the window it is even better. My only criticism was that the menu we were offered was a "curry night" menu when; had been expecting and looking forward to their standard evening menu. Unfortunately their website did not show the curry night menu, not did it say that Friday nights are curry night. It is a nice curry but not what I was looking forward to.
