XUNTOS, "together" in Gallego, is a Tapas Bar from Chef Sandra Cordero in the heart of Downtown Santa Monica, serving small plates of things we want you to try: from the farmer's market around the corner to traditional dishes of Galicia, Asturias, Catalunya & the Basque Country, as they're eaten in Spain.

The wines follow the food: natural, fun & unrefined–joined at the bar with Spanish twists on classic cocktails, plus vermouths, sherries & cold cervezas.

Overall, I’d recommend Xuntos because the food was delicious. My partner & I ordered the tasting menu and enjoyed each dish that came out. I will say we were both starving and ready to eat when we arrived, but the tasting menu ended up being a little too much - they could have taken one or two tapas out and it would have been enough food for two people. That being said. We enjoyed not having to think about what to order, and the experience of being surprised by an assortment of dishes was fun! I also think it was a very reasonably priced tasting menu. Service was definitely lacking though… First, I booked a standard table online for a date night, and they tried to sit us at a high top in a busy section of the restaurant where a party was taking place instead of a perfectly good corner table upstairs and away from the ruckus. It took a long time to order our drinks, and even longer to receive them - true on the second round too. Maybe they were low staffed at the bar or the large party downstairs was adding too much to the service load? The staff were very pleasant and we ultimately had a nice evening (plus the food was worth it), but I definitely think the service could be a little bit faster and more attentive.

Absolutely horrible, some of the most flavourless dishes of my life. Couldn’t eat some of the dishes because of how flavourless they were, and their salad was so bitter, and the waitress did nothing but laugh about it. Don’t go here, there’s so many good places in Santa Monica

My niece and I went to Xuntos to celebrate her birthday. Everything about the restaurant was outstanding. Amazing food and wonderful service and ambiance. I’ll definitely go back.

We’ve been to Xuntos several times before and knew what to expect. Xuntos did not disappoint. We went on Valentine’s day and had the special Valentine menu with wine pairings. The menu was a delight. I think everything was new to the menu. We particularly enjoy the wine pairings with every meal and Scott, the sommelier, came over to explain what we were drinking and where it came from. The red quickly filled and it was a bit noisy when it was full. Service was exemplary. It’s one of our favorite restaurants.

LOVED Xuntos! Everything was wonderful and I will definitely be back. Super yummy, warm and inviting and beyond accommodating. Highly recommend.

Food was tasty but price for the proportions definitely not worth it. Also food takes FOREVER to come out. And that was with the dining room only half full. Wanted to order more but didn’t want to wait and frankly would be too expensive for amount

Absolutely exceptional! Xuntos has become a fast favorite of mine. With exciting shareable plates and creative cocktails, this combination is sure to wow your palate. We recently took my mom for her birthday dinner, and the charming pink scallop shell theme was the perfect backdrop for the celebration. We tried lots of different dishes and shockingly did not break the bank. Two specials we tried where stuffed dates and artichoke hearts, delicious. The menu regulars we ordered were the jamon (do not skip this), garlic shrimp (you’re going to want to drink the sauce, so ask for extra bread in advance), squid ink pasta, arugula salad, and lemon/champagne/vodka dessert. The drinks were also a delight, with the Calimoxto being the table’s favorite surprise of the night and the Gin Tonic a coming in a close second. All in all we had a ball! Definitely proud to see this restaurant fairing well, in the often crowded Santa Monica food scene. 10/10 recommend.
