   We definitely thought it was better than what we expected. The kids did not enjoy their meal. (A grilled cheese with fries and a hamburger with fries.) My husband had the 3 piece fried cod with a loaded baked potato, corn bread and coleslaw, he enjoyed his meal. I had the prime rib sandwich with added onions and pub chips. The sandwich was great the pub chips were very hard and stale. But overall we would enjoy going back; other than the kids. Our waitress was super nice also.

   Food tasted good and everyone found something they liked. Appetizer was slow to come out and we didn't have time to finish before the main meal showed up. Our server did not come around very often and even came up to the table before ours and went away without checking on us. Prices are as expected being in a resort hotel.

   Food was decent but the burger buns would not stay together to eat. So it became a mess. Also the kids cheeseburger was overcooked almost burnt and very dry and the bun was over toasted and became hard at the edges. The atmosphere was great and it was pretty quiet.

   We waited over 40 minutes for a server. This is consistently a problem here..... we will not be coming back.

   Cheese curds. Burgers, shakes and s’mores. Stick to these top 4 and you’ll be happy! My daughter liked her Avocado BLT (hold the bacon) and cheese curd burger and patty melt on point. Fries were the best out of the tots and the chips our group had. Yes, pricey on the drinks and apps side but it’s sold and a dependable experience the kids look forward to yearly especially the shakes and s’mores

   I will start with the positive, they have a good menu selection of both food & beer to pick from. Two main sources of disappointment were #1, we had a reservation (booked about a week in advance) for a party of 6. Despite having the reservation & the place not being super crowded, they tried to stick us in a booth that was a 4 top. Despite our reservation, they didn't even attempt to hold a table for our group that would fit (sort of like reserving a hotel room & they don't hold it for you).... After complaining, they did move us to a table / booth that at least could fit 5 people, so we went with it (but we were very crowded still). #2, despite them sticking us at a table where everyone's legs / hips / arms were touching, they proceeded to give us one of the slower servers that they had. Probably waited at least 10 minutes to come to us to take drink orders & those took another 10 minutes for her to bring to the table (no mixed drinks, just sodas & one beer). She forgot one drink & the sodas that came tasted horrible & we had to ask 2 separate times for replacement drinks. At one point I looked at the 4-top where they tried to sit us & the people that came after us already were eating before we even ordered our food, so they probably have servers that aren't as slow as the one they assigned to us. I'm used to (when sodas are terrible, etc. the place knocking something off the bill (like just not charging for the sodas), they didn't proactively do that either. A sign that they don't want repeat customers. I personally wouldn't go back to eat.

   Ordered gluten free and received gluten after waiting an hour. After my son had already ate his, I noticed it was too good to be gluten free. We have celiac. Manager Kerstin said she would comp the meal and offered us shakes. Came back and said she never said she would comp the whole meal and gave us our bill with a very rude attitude. The shakes are not gluten free. And how would we want a shake if we have upset stomachs from being glutened!?!?! VERY DISAPPOINTED. We have been here before with no issues so was very sad to have this happen.

   Open on Christmas Day along with other restaurants in Kalahari. Nice casual place to relax and have a good meal. My family had chicken, burgers and brisket on top of a baked potato. Everything was very good. I only rated 4 stars because while the potato was enormous, there wasn’t much meat on it. Plenty of variety foods to satisfy varied tastes. I would definitely come again.

    Food was fair. My salmon was overcooked, my husband’s burger bun was stale and hard. The restaurant was clean and we enjoyed the booth. It was far too bright in the restaurant and could have used some music playing to improve the ambiance. Our server did a fine job and checked in on us, he was just very by the book and didn’t smile or interact much.
