Seated in the grandeur of Peacock Alley, amongst the elegant sounds of the harp, Willard's traditional Afternoon Tea offers a tempting array of savory sandwiches, decadent pastries, and teas.

Afternoon Tea at Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C. takes place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with two seatings available at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Afternoon Tea makes for an elegant way to celebrate a special occasion. Contact willardtea@ihg.com for more information for groups of ten and more.

Always a lovely experience. Elegantly set tables, delicious food and attentive servers. Absolutely delightful!

The ambience & service outstanding. The food portions disappointing! I had tea @ the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills last week, a huge difference. In fact, I had food left over to take home. The pastries @ the Willard were dry , including my sister-n-law’s birthday day pastry ! Will need to reconsider my Afternoon tea choices. Our waiter was very gracious & attentive.

Second time there for tea. First time there were not many places for afternoon tea maybe 7 years ago. As it was then, there has been no change, the savory portion is lacking in flavor and texture, very mediocre. The scones are good and the jams, lemon custard and Devonshire butter always enhance the taste. As for the sweets, most were very good, just one or two were actually tasteless.

They have a large tea selection and wonderful food. The service was professional. We enjoyed the harpist playing throughout our time. We were allowed to sit and enjoy the experience- no rushing you off the table.

Amazing! Harpist was playing beautifully. We had the fall menu and it was delicious. Like most teas, it doesn’t seem like much food but it is so filling. Highly reccomend

I was disappointed with the desserts. Only one tasted ok. The others were not good. The scones and sandwiches were okay. The experience was nice but it would be better if the food was better.

We always try tradition high tea when traveling and this hit the mark! Great atmosphere, the food and tea were great!
