As a West End restaurant, Whitcomb’s is ideal for pre- and post-theatre dining, set just a stone’s throw away from theatres such as the London Coliseum, Gielgud Theatre, Duke of York’s Theatre, and many more. Whether it is a family-style get together of 12 or a table for two, join us at Whitcomb’s for a Sunday lunch between 12-5pm. Reared by Aldens family butchers in Oxfordshire, our French-inspired roasts include a delicious Eastwyke Farm rib of beef and a corn-fed lemon butter chicken, carved at your table, as well as a Portobello mushroom Wellington. Accompanying sides suffuse the classics with a hint of Whitcomb’s personality. Think red wine jus, cauliflower gratin, roast potatoes, and a selection of seasonal vegetables, all supplied by premium greengrocer Le Marché. Pair your meal with excellent wines and enjoy our complimentary 14-ingredient Bloody Mary to get the senses tingling. Our Sunday roast starts at £22, and additional items may incur an extra cost.

Nachdem wir ein wunderbares À-la-carte-Menü genossen hatten, reservierten wir zwei Tage später sofort das Pre-Theater-Menü. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und professionell. Das À-la-carte-Menü ist ausgezeichnet. Leider war der Fisch auf der Speisekarte vor dem Theater etwas zu scharf gebraten. Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung. Wir werden zurück sein.

From the moment we stepped into Whitcomb's, it was clear we were in for an exceptional experience. Despite arriving earlier than our booking time, the staff were incredibly accommodating and managed to seat us without any fuss—a gesture that set the tone for the evening. The warm and friendly greeting from every member of the team made us feel immediately welcome. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great—an elegant mix of sophistication and vibrancy that created the perfect backdrop for our evening. I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. I loved every second of it, and I can’t wait to return. This restaurant is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a great dining experience in a fabulous hotel.

Our visit to Whitcombs was thoroughly enjoyed. Excellent service from the friendly and informative waiting staff, especially Sneha. I enjoyed the Rock Oysters and the Yellowtail Carpaccio. I can also recommend the Dover Sole. We look forward to our next visit when staying at The Londoner! Highly recommended!

A fab experience from entering to leaving. We were greeted, sat in a quiet corner as requested. Our server Barbara was outstanding. She settled us, got drinks, advised on meal content, was friendly, polite, helpful and efficient. The food was superb, metiterranean modern with a sharing ethos, although my husband wasn't going to share his chocolate dessert! We ate the baby chicken, sea bass, bean salad, green salad, layered potato chips, rose and blackberry sponge and chocolate fondant with a dulcey filling. Everything cleared except 3 pieces of lettuce! Coffee to finish. We didn't feel hurried or kept waiting. Food delivery was timely given it is all cooked a la moment. The rest rooms are an experience in themselves. My first time with a heated toilet seat!!

We had an amazing experience! Probably the best dining experience we’ve had to date. The staff are all super friendly and the food was amazing too! It was the perfect place to dine before going to see Phantom of the Opera. We will be back for sure.

Sunday Roast was ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING! Definitely try the roast beef it was cooked to perfection and sooooooo tasty. No need for starters as the main course was more than ample and the desserts............. Well!! Service was impeccable and not rushed and the ambience in the restaurant made you feel so relaxed. We will DEFINATLEY be returning!! 5*
