   First of all, I have always loved Waterman’s and have special memories from there but I haven’t been in about 10 years. I was excited to introduce my grandkids and other family members to Waterman’s. The view is great overlooking the bay with the boats and sunset but we were sat by the kitchen in high back chairs making it nearly impossible to enjoy the view. We had a party of 7 plus 2 high chairs so I figured maybe that was the reason. We then placed an order for appetizers. Calamari, garlic bread and spinach/artichoke dip…sorry, out of calamari. Next, we placed an order for entrees- sorry, out of coconut shrimp…sorry, out of lobster ravioli. I’ve never been to a restaurant that was so poorly prepared for a holiday, especially Spring Break. We had to ask for salt and pepper and more tartar sauce and cocktail sauce (we were given 2 small plastic cups for the entire table) and our waitress seemed overwhelmed (maybe she was new). All in all, it was a night of reliving memories of times gone by. The food was pre-packaged/frozen type food but presented ok. The big thing is how my jaw dropped when we received the bill. (It was more expensive than Gaido’s! And we had 1 less adult that evening!) I would say maybe go and have drinks and watch the sunset but there are plenty of other places for a meal.

   The server did not tell us about the specials and when asked only said salmon - no details about how it was prepared. The first three items we tried to order they were out of due to being more busy than normal according to the server. It felt as if the server didn’t really want to be there and we were an inconvenience. The food was okay bit definitely not anything special. Waterman’s used to be one of our favorite places to dine but the past few times it has been disappointing.

   Great food. Great atmosphere. Amazing service. This was absolutely worth the visit. We did have a wobbly table and there were a few gnats but overall the quality of everything else was so amazing that we barely noticed.

   the redfish was not as good as last time... wanted it blackened and it was only lightly blackeded and lacked in flavor... server was not as friendly as the last times we have been
