   Family gathering for a birthday and wedding. We had dinner on a Friday which was great and the Sunday brunch was wonderful. Last weekend of the season and we really enjoyed it.

   I highly recommend this place! We were vacationing at Watauga Lake and chose this restaurant based on the multiple great reviews. We chose the potato skins and garlic filet crostini for starters, which were excellent! The brisket stuffed pasta has amazing flavor, the pot pie was to die for and the mussel and clam pasta dish was absolutely delicious. The four of us all ordered one of the 3 course options and all were extremely impressed with each course. The desserts were scrumptious. There was a large party in the same room with us, therefore it was a bit loud for the first half of the meal but it did not take away from the enjoyment of our overall dining experience. When in the area again, I will definitely make this place a priority for a return trip.

   My husband and I were looking for a place to eat brunch on a recent drive in the mountains. Searching on Open Table, I came across Vistas Land and Sea at Red Tail Mountain Lodge. What a gem! Worth the drive in every way. We had the full brunch which included the creamiest cheese grits we'd ever tasted, plus sausage and bacon with no fat along with the sweetest blueberries, strawberries and cantaloupe I've had in a long time. Not to mention the omelet bar plus so many other items. Next we went to the pasta bar. We had zucchini pasta with peppers, mushrooms, scallions and many more really fresh ingredients. The marinara sauce was light and a perfect complement to the pasta. After that course, it was on to a most tender roast beef and perfectly cooked salmon, along with grilled veggies and delicious real mashed potatoes. I'm not sure how we ate that much and still had room for dessert but the lime chiffon pie topped off the meal. We loved the food but also the friendly people from the server to the owner and especially the chefs. All made us feel like we were at home in a place we'd never been before. And the price for all that was offered is very reasonable. We will most definitely go back. Thank you to all the staff at Vistas. Hope to see you again soon.

   We go here often and we are never disappointed. We especially love the brunch. One of the reasons we enjoy it so much, is the food is amazing and the staff is extremely friendly and outgoing. The chef's want to get to know you and welcome your feedback. We will continue to go here as well as take family and friends when visiting. One last detail, the view is very relaxing.

   Have been twice for Sunday Brunch. Food is marvelous, service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. I would definitely suggest it for anyone. Looking forward to trying dinner soon!
