    Very good for the most part. Great service, friendly and amenable but uncomfortably hot!

    Service was not good and food medium we wasn’t offered the weekend menu which we would have ordered from as you had a free bottle of wine we complained and the manager did end up giving the wine we did have for free wouldn’t go there again

    Hard to rate as didn’t get to eat. Arrived for booking but as restaurant busy said we would get a drink and come along in a while. We went into the restaurant about 25 minutes later, still very busy and only two waiting staff. After 20 minutes we still hadn’t been given a menu. After another 15 minutes with no drinks or service we called a taxi. The taxi didn’t arrive for 29 minutes and in all that time no one came to our table. Grossly understaffed - bought fish and chips on the way home instead.

    They had no record of our table being booked via this site therefore had to wait one hour for a table to become available. Food was expensive for the portion size, puddings were unappetising when they arrived. Service was poor and manager didn’t seem to care. Would not recommend and definitely not visiting that particular restaurant again.

    Got there to be told no booking had been made even though I was definitely in the right pub. I had email to prove it with address, was told there was another white horse not far away. First thoughts- dark, dingy and dirty, nothing like photos. Service was terrible to even speak to anyone. Rude staff who didn't care.

    The White Horse always has a "nice feel" to it. I do prefer weekday evenings when it's not so crowded so a little quieter. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The service was as prompt as cooking the meals would allow. I would like to see larger portions served for main courses, they seemed to have been cutting back for the last 6 months or more which is a shame.

    Lovely evening. Everyone said the food was very good but unfortunately I didn't like my meal, crispy duck salad. There was a few tiny bits of duck, loads of lettuce which although was of good quality and fresh was covered in the sauce which was most unpleasant and too hot for a salad, just my opinion but I couldn't eat it. The staff as ever were great. In particular our waiter Harry. What a lovely young man. Very efficient, polite and a great sense of humour! The staff always help make our trips to the White Horse a really lovely experience! Thank you. See you soon!

    The staff were brilliant- so helpful and welcoming. A great atmosphere. A beautiful Sunday roast followed by a tasty crumble. We will definitely return.

    Party of six including two teenagers. Very good food, something for everyone. Good atmosphere. Super waitress, very efficient , patient and good fun! All in all a really good evening.

    Although good food & service we had a £10 vouchers which we used and was disappointed to find that's by using the vouchers the bill came to more than having the special of starters & main course for £13.95. We feel that the menu stating specials is very misleading price wise by using the £10 voucher we were charged the full price for our starters and main course. We were unaware that we would be charged full price. Surely the vouchers are a good will jesture and not to be used as an either or eg use voucher and pay full price or just have the £13.95 menu. We feel you should display this for customers to see before they order it is very misleading and when the £10 had been put through the till we were told they could not alter or deduct it. We are not sure if we will revisit even though it is a convenient location for us.
