Dante and his team are the new-kids on Moody Street, Waltham but old pros in the Boston area. Dante has been cooking in his home town of Abruzzo since 1979. His passion for cooking grew as explored the all the flavors and recipes of the Adriatic Sea which surrounded him. We are excited to bring our skills to Waltham where we welcome old friends and invite new ones to Vinotta Restaurant.

Vinotta Restaurant serves simple food made with fresh, wholesome, organic ingredients using locally sourced vendors. Flowing between classic and modern Italian favorites all made from scratch and sure to suit your palate. Domestic and imported wine selections to compliment food choices available for in-house and take out dining.

Food was very good, we specifically enjoyed the minestrone and the eggplant envoltini. The truffles and porcini pappardelle was perfect. Very friendly staff. We'll come back again.

So my girlfriend and I went out to celebrate our anniversary, she had told me that Vinotta was excellent so I took her word for it. Coming from someone who isn’t Italian, she explained to me how the seats being very close together was normal for her culture so I just went with it. I had the short rib ravioli which had a delicious savoury taste and beautiful presentation. For my main I had the chicken Marsala which was absolutely incredible and came with a side of rice. We also got on a first name basis with one the wait staff named Frank, who spoke to me about my ethnic heritage and was very friendly. The noise level was very high, as expected for a Friday evening. I’m overall very satisfied and impressed with what I was served last night, and would happily go eat there again.

We loved our dinner last night. The only critique was that the gnocchi could have been hotter and the sauce, just red without all the cheese. That being said, it was delicious as presented. It is a beautiful restaurant and we received excellent service from Christian.

Food was excellent I had the lobster ravioli which actually had globs of lobster in it. Wife had gnocchi and loved it.. cute cozy nice!

After 20 minutes of the fire alarms going off and interrupting my guest’s birthday dinner I would have expected that the restaurant would have offered to compensate a round of drinks or something. There was no communication made to patrons about whether we should sit or evacuate. It was as though the staff went about business as usual while we were going deaf and wondering what the situation was. Not a great first impression for my guest.

The food was really excellent and Dante the chef was brilliant. He specifically made for me and off the menu tuna tartare that was to die for.

Outstanding. Exceptional. A Total Gem. Don't miss. The food was simple amazing. Terrific service, comfortable atmosphere. Everything we tried was so delicious, well prepared and presented elegantly. Unexpected to find such good pasta dishes on Moody Street in Waltham, but don't fight it - just go eat there. I can't wait to go again.
