   I would never return as the service is pathetic, menu is very limited, the food is cold and the place is empty on a Saturday night. I made a reservation and we had a large group for my birthday dinner, it took over 3 hours to get out of villa azur with just one round of drinks, main course and a cake that I brought because they do nothing for birthdays. We were never asked for a second round of cocktails, as we all would have ordered another. So we had to go elsewhere for another round. My husband had to grab silverware and napkins for the cake because it took over 20 minutes for them to bring out the correct cake and plates. Please don’t waste your time and money, it’s not worth the headache.

   Very disappointing. We dined early, before the Stars hockey game. We were the only ones dining in the restaurant (the bar had a few patrons). Our server, Gigi, was attentive and friendly. The octopus app was overcooked and rubbery. It was served with a white bean tahini— which was good, but you really needed bread to truly enjoy it. We asked for bread, which they brought: four small toasted slices (we were charged $4, which probably cost them .10 factoring in labor). We both ordered the Steak Frittes medium rare. My steak was VERY well done and the frites were over salted. I couldn’t finish my meal. The manager removed my entree from the bill. Obviously not the place to go before a game, but we wanted to try something new. I don’t know why they couldn’t get it right when we were THE ONLY TWO people dining in the restaurant between 5:45 and 6:45. FYI This is the W’s fine dining restaurant.

   Charged us $15 for buttered noodles for my daughter. The cheese was not melted in French onion soup, but the dirty martini was great

   The Valentine menu wasn’t all of that good wish it could’ve been better if I would have known that the full menu for the restaurant was available. But the service was good. Everything was good except for the food.

   I arrived at the restaurant at my reserved time and was seated promptly. Upon being seated, the host informed us that the kitchen was running behind, which was understandable given it was New Year’s Eve. However, despite asking multiple times and waiting for 30 minutes, no server attended to us, and we were not even given the chance to order drinks. Ultimately, we decided to leave due to the lack of service. It is disappointing that the restaurant appeared unprepared and understaffed for the evening, especially when it was operating at approximately 40% capacity. I would have preferred being unable to secure a reservation over having one and facing such a disappointing experience.

   Very nice and great food for a New Years Eve dinner. Service was outstanding and the craft cocktails were unique and delicious.

   • SERVICE. The service was terrible. Waited at the host stand for several minutes after arriving for our reservation (they were expecting us). After we were seated, we waited quite a while for someone to take our order. The food took forever to arrive. They forgot to bring one of the dishes we ordered. • COCKTAILS. Cocktails were excellent. • FOOD. They were out of the first pasta we ordered, and didn’t let us know until after the appetizer had arrived. The fish was burnt. The burrata was good but certainly not worth $41.

    What a disappointing experience! If you read their website, you'd think Villa Azur in at the W Hotel in Dallas was going to be a special, prestigious experience. Not the case! We ended up sitting at our table after ordering appetizers and then our entrees for almost an hour and never got any food. It was excruciating! We had one round of drinks and decided not to order another round because it felt like we may never get our food and didn't want to sit and drink on empty stomachs. The serving staff attempted to be as considerate and sympathetic as possible but for whatever reason, the kitchen didn't produce a single thing the entire time we were there. We finally paid our bill for the drinks and left the room on an empty stomach. We'll never go back!
