Almost three years on from its culinary christening, Upstairs has sparked a reputation for casual dining in its finest form. A self-contained dining space, Upstairs offers guests a selection of small plates from our daily-changing menu, all of which are cooked to order from an open island kitchen and designed to share.

As well as being available for reservations and exclusive hires, Upstairs proudly plays host to a variety of exciting events and special evenings for our guests to enjoy; from expertly-led wine masterclasses to convivial Sunday lunches.

Our aim has always been to offer our guests the opportunity to get closer to the cooking process than ever before, and with the unfaltering passion and dedication of our team, a recently (and very proudly) received Bib Gourmand Award, and the continued support of our wonderful guests, we truly see nowhere to go but up.

We had a fantastic meal at Upstairs and can’t wait to come back. Our waiter Jack was fabulous & further his awareness of allergens was spot on and really put me at ease as a coeliac. Thank you so much!

Bistro style restaurant above a one Michelin star downstairs. Seating was at a counter looking outside and not the best (frayed seats). Service was excellent. The menu is sharing plates, all beautifully presented. The ox heart skewer was delicious although somewhat drowned by the mustard, tuna tartar had perfectly pickled cucumber, burrata was excellent. The monkfish main dish was a very large fillet, enough for two, beautifully presented but maybe a fraction overcooked. £60 for a decanted bottle of 2022 Beaujolais Village seemed a little expensive. with cocktails, etc, £250 for two seemed rather expensive though. Overall, definitely worth a visit for a special occasion.

A Clapham staple that never disappoints. Every time you go the food is reinvigorated but the experience feels familiar. My favourite local.

Just wow! All the great things we’d heard about this place was true. The food was delicious! Watching the two chefs working their magic was a true work of art. The service was also impeccable. Jack made us feel so comfortable, he was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. We can’t wait to dine there again Lucy x
