   The dinner was on the level of Michelin rated restaurants I have been to. The quality of Ingredients, the balance of flavor and the creative boldness was outstanding and very refreshing. The mixture of French, Japanese and Indian cuisine are very harmoniously executed with never seen before dishes. I was equally impressed with the level of service and their attentiveness and professional friendly service. I think the dinner service was an absolute bargain for the quality of food being served. This is one of the culinary gems in Honolulu and extremely underrated restaurants I have been to in this area as you normally only see this level of restaurants in New York, Los Angeles or Napa Valley. Hats off the chef and his talented team.

   What an unexpected surprise we found at UMI. Fresh off the plane in Honolulu checked for reservations found this as a option and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all. I would highly recommend this to anybody who’s looking for a light and very tasting menu. That gives you the option of an à la cart as well. We would highly recommend and look forward to going again.

   Very high quality food, with an unique presentation and preparation. It was all good, till the man showed up, and I felt my bill went up a hundred dollars more. He started showing us bottles of whiskey, and started giving us samples and we were laughing and joking but not realizing that he was padding the ultimate bill, which was close to a 1000 dollars for 4 people. I bet my dad is turning in his grave. I never want to meet an owner or manger of a restaurant ever again in life. I feel used.

   This was our 2nd visit, and like the first, this restaurant and this time surpassed expectations. The food was delicious and crafted with such care and artistry. The adults in our family selected the wine pairing, and I found the sommelierʻs taste for each dish was spot on! My taste buds enjoyed the exquisite flavors paired with the wine selections. The great thing I love about Umiʻs is the sense of family and the fact that it is actually a family affair. They were very attentive and took the time to get to know their customers, including Abby, who greeted us with such affection, the chef, server, and sommelier. Lee (Leigh?) was humorous and knowledgeable about the wines. He was always checking to make sure we were okay. I highly recommend Umi to anyone looking for excellent food, fine wines, and a dining experience that is enjoyable and feels elegant, giving me a sense of tranquility. In the end, I felt pampered and special - especially since I was celebrating my birthday!

   The food was absolutely delicious, the service very good! The price was very high for what you get so if you have nothing but money to burn, this is a great place!

   We had an excellent breakfast experience here. All 3 of us, we ordered the set menu. Two of us had the papaya, which was perfectly cut and prepared and one of us had the yogurt and fruit parfait which was also very tasty. For the main courses, we had: loco moco, Croque Madame and an omelet. The execution and the flavor profiles were excellent. This was a very elevated, high end and pleasant experience that proved to be a great value as well.

   This is probably the most decent restaurant I’ve been to in Waikiki. What a lovely experience from understanding the room, to understanding the food, to the excellent service. The poached lobster was excellent. Can’t recommend UMI highly enough !

    This is one of favorite restaurants anywhere we travel. It's innovative, try the chef's menu, the setting is wonderful and the people are always gracious and attentive. We never miss Umi when we are in Waikiki or Honolulu. Thank you for another wonderful night.
