Started off with amazing expections after previously attending the location in fort lauderdale, wasnt sure which to pick to celebrate our anniversary but assumed the brickell location would be just as good and booked a reservation. As soon as we arrived we were told our table would be ready shortly. There was great live music by the bar and the location has their holiday decorations so it was very beautiful. After seeing multiple people be sat and waiting for 20 minutes I asked how much longer for the table. They had forgotten about us even though we were waiting right next to the hostess stand and apologized for the miscommunication. The hostess offered us free dessert for the wait. They handed us a misspelled happy anniversary card that was clearly rushed and failed to mention to the server we had been waiting and that it was our anniversary. We were still excited to eat and get started after the wait. We had planned on ordering big and were asking the server for recommendations but the poor service inclined us to order less. We asked about how the lobster was made and he was very simple “ lobster is fried nothing else to explain”. Safe to say we didnt order lobster and had the oysters as our appetizer. We ordered a dozen mixed but they never explained what we had received or what order they were in. We didnt want to waste more time so we just enjoyed them as is but wouldve loved to receive some information on them, they were just dropped off with no say. We had two orders of the 1/2 pound alaskan king crab legs that were finger licking good and two of the house cocktails that were also delicious. At the fort lauderdale location we were offered fruits for our water, caviar for the oysters, we had amazing and attentive service, and the miami location did not live up to it. Sorry to say but we wished we celebrated somewhere else.

I ordered the lobster thermidor. It was a half pound lobster, read 8oz, which resulted in 4 ounces of protein. Not even close to making a meal, barely an appetizer. The fried crab rice was sweet and ginger with old crab. The total meal for 3 was $265. No one cared for their meal. With portion size in particular the chief complaint. I blame the server for not warning us that the entres wouldn't even come close to constituting a full meal. A complete waste of money for a miserable experience.

Amazing Christmas Eve dinner. Our family made a traditional for many years now to come to Brickell’s Trulucks. We were well seated with plenty of room for our 1 year old stroller and our experience was amazing. Lourdes, our server, was kind, prompt and so nice. We chose the specials (Australian Wagyu steak and 20oz Lobster tail with crabmeat topping) for the evening and they were delicious. The carrot cake is their best dessert as we had a taste of all options in the menu. We will be back for our tradition next year. Thanks

The worst! I must say it was a horrible Christmas Eve dinner. We were sat outside in the patio area which had the floor of their patio soaking wet don’t know where it came from. When I asked the manager he didn’t know either, still remains a great mystery apparently! The food portions were way smaller than I remember from the last time I was there. And our server Kath was the rudest person I have encountered, she was clearly upset to be working on Christmas Eve. She might need to get into another line of work. Overall not worth the money for what you receive.

Another excellent meal and overall experience at Truluck’s Miami - this time on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was beautifully and tastefully decorated, we were personally greeted by the manager and other staff members, the waitstaff are all incredibly professional and friendly, and the food superb - not only in terms of taste but also in terms of presentation. Best presentation of lobster bisque I’ve ever seen and it was delicious, as was everything we had. We especially appreciate that the waitstaff all manage to strike a perfect balance between attentive and discreet. Truluck’s is a gem of a restaurant right in the heart of Brickell.
