Tom Brown’s Restaurant specializes in wet aged hand-cut Certified Angus Beef, the freshest seafood flown in, and house-made entrees. We serve only exceptional food with authentic hospitality. On the wetter side, choose from house craft beers, an extensive wine list, and signature hand crafted cocktails.

Everything about our experience at Tom Brown’s (south) was wonderful. My husband and I dined on my birthday and Diedra really came through at providing a delightful experience. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and impeccable. We had told Diedra it was my birthday and she made me feel so special when she brought out our desserts (crème brûlée) with a lighted candle in mine. Tuesday night is prime rib night and we chose that for our entrées. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband chose the wedge salad as a side. He loves wedge salads and he was impressed with this one. It is made with romaine lettuce as opposed to iceberg and he preferred the romaine. The salad is large, so be prepared to save room for your entrée. I chose the collard greens for my side. Yummy! I’m used to a bolder taste from my greens but these were deliciously different. They are creamed but not overly so. If I had to have one small complaint, it would be that the music was a little loud such that my husband and I had a little bit of trouble hearing each other, but we are old and our hearing isn’t what it used to be due to going to many loud concerts in our younger years. Haha! I loved the selection of music, though. This was our third visit to Tom Brown’s and each time is better than the last. I highly recommend going on prime rib night, but I’ve also had an excellent fish entrée there. Thanks go to Deidra for making me feel special.

The Ribeye is the best on the menu!! Definitely recommend it with the jack Daniel’s steak sauce!

Unfortunately this was a very uneven experience. The restaurant was lighted like you were in a shopping mall food court (very bright). The funky decor (eg, Formica table tops) did not fit the expected environment given the description from their website. While some food was good (raw oysters were excellent as were the mixed meat kabobs), one white fish dish (grouper) was over cooked and worse, one (barramundi) was grossly undercooked. Server tried but was overly friendly, volunteering what he liked to eat on the menu. Clearly not an experience that warrants a return visit.

As always, the food was fantastic! We love their fried mushroom appetizer and we both chose the ribeye for our main course. The steak was cooked exactly right and had great flavor. Our server, Jeff, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. He definitely made the whole experience better.

The asparagus tasted burnt. My friend’s steak was cold and raw in the middle (supposed to be cooked medium) Service was poor. Everyone’s drinks were completely empty (my friend even had time to chew all the ice in his glass before we ever saw the waiter to get refills) We noticed every other table were offered desserts on a tray after they finished their meals. However, our waiter just brought our checks without asking if we wanted any dessert or more drinks. Perhaps a different waiter who actually cared about customer satisfaction and better tasting food that is cooked properly would’ve made the experience enjoyable. But for the price, I definitely expected more.

We had the steamed mussels appetizer. Very tasty. Soak up the wine garlic sauce with the bread - it’s amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and flavorful. I highly recommend the collard greens - very good. Wish we had room for desert. There are plenty of other items we want to try so we plan to come back. It’s easy to walk out of there with $200 bill with tip so be prepared.
