   Beautiful bar and restaurant, very friendly staff and the Sunday roast was a 10/10!! Would highly recommend

   Familiar but always good menu and wine selection. Oysters and Rumanian Pinot Noir especially good! The restaurant was quite busy but not too much so and the atmosphere as usual, was friendly and service efficient, and importantly, not rushed.

   Took some friends and family. One of us had the trout. It was cooked well, but the base it was on was bland and like weak soup, which made the fish soggy. Ended up leaving most of it. Most disappointing thing was that on collecting our dishes nobody asked why most of the food was left. Such a shame. Had positive dining experiences there previously, and whilst we accept that not every dish can be spot on, you’d like to think the staff care if something isn’t quite right. Will definitely think twice about returning with friends.

   This was the best Sunday lunch we've had in a very long time, the beef was amazing! Lovely staff, relaxed atmosphere, amazing place. Would definitely recommend.

   Really enjoyed our meal, the service was friendly and efficient and the food delicious, lovely relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful old restaurant with lots of character and charm.

    Food seemed generally overpriced. Our steaks were OK but nothing special. Cheese sauce was very thin.
