The Waratah is a neighbourhood friendly bar, located in the heart of Darlinghurst.

Our ground floor features a friendly and easy-going public bar designed for walk-ins only. Upstairs is open for bookings, with a vibrant terrace bar complete with a stunning sun-draped rooftop and wrap-around veranda.

Our focus is on cocktails and great food. The Waratah is our love letter to all that makes Australia unique: small & independent producers, local growers, native produce and a diverse and singular landscape.

    Always a wonderful experience at The Waratah. Delicious drinks and food - love the way they highlight local producers and ingredients. Variety of spaces in the venue ensure there is the perfect spot for all. Looking forward to my next visit.

    The service is always beyond at Waratah when getting cocktails down stairs, this was the first time dinning there which absolutely perfection.

    Entrees were good, mains were mediocre. Fish was very bland. Service was clumsy and slow. Nice verandah seating though.
