   Not the greatest experience which is unusual for a Rick Erwin’s restaurant. Ordered just a couple small entrees and two drinks before heading out to a play. The blackened shrimp salad was a huge disappointment. Lettuce was the worst possible leaves that showed little preparation, and the shrimp was undercooked. Only had a few bites before determining it was just awful. Was quite surprised our Server didn’t mention anything when picking up a salad that was barely touched. I should have said something but didn’t. The French dip sandwich was awesome and heightened the experience from poor to average. The banana bread old fashion was one of the worst pours I have seen which was nothing more than 3-4 sips for $17.00. I would likely have beer if visiting again. Our bill was $86 for two small drinks, a bad salad, and a good sandwich. Would you return? Our Server was very peppy, but only smiled when informed they forgot the salad dressing on our horrible salad. Didn’t make it taste much better. Lastly, they overcharged me $2 on the salad, (did I mention it was horrible), but not enough to spend 10 minutes fixing a $2 error. Overall, they whiffed last night, and will probably spend the extra time driving to Rick Erwin’s Eastside.

   We had to wait longer than expected to be seated, but the staff went above and beyond by trying to make up for it, even having a free appetizer at the table waiting on us. The food was wonderful and the drinks were delicious.

   Service was great but food was terrible. My husband’s ribeye was well done when asked for medium, also messed up his side. My steak salad’s meat portion was 80% fat and gristle. Also, I have never posted a negative review so this is not typical for us even if we have a bad experience but the food was ridiculous, especially for that price point.

   Great experience for a birthday celebration. Food was better than ever! The round booths are perfect for conversation.

    We went to The Vista for Valentine’s Day and were very impressed. Having been there 3 or 4 times before, we found it to be much better than previous times. From the drinks, to service and food we would match it with other top restaurants in Greenville. We had the scallop and the Valentine special of sea bass. Both were top notch. The normal menu has a great selection of price points and types of food. We can’t wait to return!
