Fabulous food as always with Connor. One small observation it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. Service was excellent too.

The quality of the food here is simply outstanding. So is the service. Only issue preventing me giving 5 stars was that the heating wasn't working and it was a little chilly! That said, we we informed of the heating problem on arrival and an attempt had been made to telephone us about it beforehand. And it didn't detract from the otherwise superb dining experience. We are very fortunate to have such an excellent gastronomical offering in our local area. We have dined there before and certainly will again.

We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch. Everything was cooked to perfection and good value. Only visiting the area so doubt we'll return but definitely to be recommended. Not a lot of choice but the 3 of us were happy with roast beef, roast pork and fish pie. Starters and puddings were certainly different and delicious. We also enjoyed the open kitchen watching the chefs in action.

The new owners have closed off the once lovely 1st floor eating area and tried to cram loads of tables into the ground floor. This made the place feel small and I was being constantly bumped by staff and customers walking past me. The lovely ambience that this place once had has now gone.
Food selection was limited and very expensive considering it was bland and nothing special. Drinks were also very expensive.
We regularly ate in the vine tree but we won't be returning under this ownership unfortunately.

Food was outstanding- we enjoyed the starters and mains none of the party were particularly fussed on the range of desserts.
