The View at Mountain Lodge Telluride, led by our new Chef Lonny Shepard, offers an exquisite alpine cuisine experience focused on locally sourced ingredients and healthy options.

In 2023, The View proudly won the OpenTable Diners' Choice Award for Denver/Colorado, recognized as the best for scenic views and the mountains' best for brunch.

The View is easy to get to and offers breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains. The elegantly designed great room features a cozy fireplace, lofty ceilings, and stunning mountain views, creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy a meal in the dining room or out on the pool deck.

The View is just a short walk from the Village Market gondola, or call our front desk at (970) 369-6001 for a complimentary shuttle ride from Mountain Village Core or Village Market gondola.

Our party ate dinner here New Year’s Eve - I made the reservation on open table and perused the menu. A couple days prior I received a confirmation call and was informed there was a pre fixe menu for the evening- ok fine but it was not listed on their website nor on open table- and far too late of notice to make alternate plans- further, I was given 4 different prices for this special dinner $85, $125 prior and while there $75 initially was followed by $135 pp which was the actual price. The food was good and the restaurant was pretty and we had a great table- also we had kids and they were allowed to order off the kids menu. I would recommend this restaurant despite no one seeming to know the cost of the dinner. Also as a side note- we were able to see the fireworks - we went outside under the entrance where they were visible

We had reservations during peak lunch time on New Year’s Eve…the food was delicious, the service was prompt and The Lodge lives up to its reputation for being the best on the mountain!! Thanks!!

We decided to spend our Christmas dinner at “The View,” reserving well in advance and acknowledging the prix fixe menu that looked delicious. The venue is beautiful. We were seated at a corner high-top table, wonderfully nestled between the TV and where everyone was walking back and forth, and not facing each other. The service was horrible. I received my drink during the third course, and the poultry was medium. Nobody even came over to check on us until it was too late. Never again. I’ve been on OpenTable for over 15 years and have never left a review like this. I’ve also never experienced this level of service. If you can’t handle a prix fixe menu as a restaurant and cook it properly, proper waitstaff service based on a predetermined number of reservations, combined with proper seating during Christmas. We should of sat at the bar and got a salad. Thanks! Epic fail. Christmas dinner….

This was our first trip to Telluride/Mountain Village in Colorado. Our reservations were at 6 pm and we were the first to arrive. Sebastian was our server and he was very tentative to our questions and taking our orders. We had a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon - Bruce - from California. The wine was outstanding and was suggested by the bartender as a replacement for the bottle we originally ordered. He was spot on and enjoyed it greatly. My daughter and I ordered Elk Bolognese and it was outstanding! My husband and the Smash Burger and he was very satisfied with his choice. As other reviews state- the View from this restaurant is awesome!

Love the new menu. We’ve been dining here for almost 15 years—the views are truly incredible—and this is definitely my favorite menu to date. An intriguing wine list also. Better quality food than Tomboy tavern and better ambiance.

We had the Elk Bolognese and Trout and we’re not disappointed! Both were delicious! Our server,Katerina, was very attentive!
