Friendly , welcoming and professional staff , food was presented nicely , all hot , and overall tasted great. A variety to choose from too . Will definitely be recommending to people and looking to return very soon

Good and varied choices from the menu and specials. Food and service excellent and all at a reasonable price. Recently taken over, best of luck!

Easily accessible for disabled customers, very clean inside, toilets very clean & accessible including baby change facilities, seating comfortable although a little dated. Meals were very good although if I had one complaint it would be the gamman was very salty & slightly overcooked, all in all a very enjoyable evening!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. A limited menu but it was a Sunday so focus was on Roast dinners. A few things not available on the menu which, as it was already limited, was a bit disappointing. Starters were delicious and my friends all enjoyed their choices. I had the toasted dinner, which was nice but nothing special. Will definitely return to try other things, it has vastly improved since the new management.

Enjoyed the meal, although the people at the next table were quite noisy! food was great, service was great, will definitely return but hoping for quieter neighbours! Not unruly, just loud, we heard the entire conversation.

Booked to come here after seeing an article of the best restaurants in Lancashire but when we arrived the door was locked and the lights were all off. It was my birthday and we were bring out our 5 week old baby in the rain. I had booked on OpenTable; both Google maps; Facebook and their website said they should be open but they didn't appear to be. We had a table of 8 as it was tough trying to find an alternative location to eat at last minute. Not impressed at all.

It really does pain me to write this review, we have been to this establishment multiple times and really enjoyed the food. On this occasion it was really substandard. The meals arrived, mine was cold, the mixed grill was missing the steak, my mother’s was burnt and they forgot my daughters. The waitress I think was new and had to keep coming back to ask questions about the food, it was a problem as such as everyone starts somewhere and is learning. We had to go to the bar to get more drinks and wasn’t told about the promotions they had on. I recommended this place to my family as we have never had an experience like this. They have recently changed the menu and although there are some really great options, we struggled with what to order, this is more a personal preference rather than a problem with the restaurant. It’s an absolute shame. I can recommend the gin and tonic.

This used to be a go-to place for us, but we were very disappointed on this afternoon visit. The portions were small for the price and the food quality was not up to standard. Some of the cutlery on the table was not clean. We felt it was an expensive lunch for what we got. We had pies and found that the pastry was not cooked properly and we left still slightly hungry. We won't be trying again any time soon.

Have had several good meals there but latest experience was extremely below what we had come to expect food was ok but no where near the value £20 for a tiny portion of fish and some half cooked chips is not acceptable very much we will be going back.
