   I’m not sure but there was lack of communication at The Tapestry.When we arrived, they had no booking at the reception.I had proof of booking from OpenTable on my phone.After a short wait they were able to accommodate booking. Service was poor , pot of tea arrived for afternoon tea ,but food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive.Other than that the food was excellent. Was relaxing atmosphere.

   Met friends for a pre Christmas get together, we were not bothered about Christmas menu. Tables could have had white table cloths on as the restaurant was quite dark with the dark wood panelled walls, ceiling and tables. Food portions were small but adequate for women perhaps but not for the menfolk. Food was tasty and well presented. A real fire was on and it was cosy and inviting. We had a super evening as for the most part we were the only 4 in the dining room on a Saturday night while there were a few large functions going on elsewhere. Service was great, well looked after. Wine was expensive! Would go back again!

   Such a beautiful setting. Food excellent and an overall very enjoyable experience. Only let down slightly by the fact the toilets are down a flight of stairs, or lift, and are shared with the function rooms.

   Very disappointing, we drove 10+miles to the Tapestry having used the online booking platform with a table booked for 5pm for the shared carvery board, only upon our arrival we were told the restaurant was closed until 6:30pm, and the carvery board had stopped mid afternoon. Not entirely site why the booking system allowed us to make the reservation? The staff were very polite, whilst also confused, we were advised there was a selection of gastro food that they could accommodate us with, however we chose to leave and find somewhere else. It was a poor experience and not something I’d expect to come across from a hotel/restaurant of that calibre, I believe they pride themselves on 4 stars. My advice would be phone the restaurant/hotel direct to make a reservation to save any disappointment by booking online, receiving confirmation only to turn up and be told it’s closed. It’s a shame because we were really looking forward dinning there whilst vacating in Aberdeen.

   Food was good, high quality ingredients. The soup was delicious, I wad the beef burger, which was very tasty

   It was lovely having the afternoon T in the drawing room. Intimate and liked having a table beside us so there was a bit of atmosphere. We had our wedding here so it brought back lots of nice memories . The cakes are beautiful but I feel the sandwhiches could be In nicer bread for the cost of the afternoon T.
