Celebrating its 15th year, The Swedes Bar and Bistro opened its doors in 2009. Since then, it's become a go-to spot for people from all over the world. We are a 2024 TripAdvisor Travelers choice award winner, given to the top 10% of restaurants based on guest experience.

Great food, friendly service, and a fun vibe at the corner of Olas Altas and Calle Pulpito just one block from the famous Los Muertos beach make The Swedes a must-visit on any trip to Puerto Vallarta. Many people head straight to The Swedes after a long day of travel; or as the farewell meal before heading home.

Thanksgiving dinner with a touch of continental flair. Here's a menu that blends American tradition with European culinary influences. Each year The Swedes Bar & Bistro culinary team presents a three course meal with two options per course. The Menu is posted at https://www.theswedespv.com/holidays Pricing depends on your entree choice. Three course meal from $755-$875 Your paid reservation has a deposit of $500 pesos per person. This is not the price of the meal. Your deposit and optional gratuity will be applied to the final check presented at the time of service. There is a 5% administrative fee on cancellations, cancellations less than 48 hours prior to service are not refundable.

Another incredibly good meal at The Swedes. Over the years—our first visit was in 2016–we’ve always had consistently great experiences at The Swedes. This was at least our 20th time there and, as always, from start to finish, everything was exceptionally good.

So happy we chose this restaurant for our dinner, food was delicious, service was outstanding and the 80’s music videos playing was great.

One of our best dining experiences in PV! Try the tangerine martinis - yum yum yummy yum! The gazpacho was the best we’ve had in years! Awesome service Carlos! Awesome food!

I've been visiting Puerto Vallarta for years, and The Swedes is always a top destination on my list. Every time I stop by, I'm consistently impressed by the world-class service and exceptional food. It's an absolute must-visit every time I'm in town!

We've eaten here many times and really like the food and the location. The service is usually very good, but this time there was some sort of problem in the kitchen and we had to wait something like 45 minutes for our food after ordering. They were apologetic and the food was great, but we were very hungry and a bit put off by the delay. However, I should repeat that this is the first time we've had this problem and we've eaten here many times.

We were seated as requested at a balcony table on 2nd floor, which had a nice view. Our salads were very delicious, but the entree was somewhat dry (overcooked) pork tenderloin, that wasn’t so appealing to our palates. Our server was a little overzealous at pitching bar drinks (upselling)., and our bar drinks were just OK. Overall this meal was higher priced and offered less value compared to other dining choices we found on our visit to Puerto Vallarta, so we’re not as enthusiastic fans of The Swedes as we were from our past experiences (that were great) dining there.

Went for the Swedish Meatball’s but IKEA is just as good. The cucumber salad and mashed potatoes were the standouts for me

Food was good and staff was very attentive. I liked the selections on the menu. The breaded chicken was good. The chicken deluxe with mushroom risotto was excellent .
