A restaurant that celebrates the splendour of British seafood and produce from local farms.

We are delighted to use the finest of local producers, farmers, and growers of the region. Seafood will always remain our focus. Oysters from Pinneys of Orford, fresh fish from Wightman based in Lowestoft, as well as meat from Salter & King in Aldeburgh, we are incredibly lucky to work with the best.

Warm welcome as always from the front of house team. Great pre lunch cocktail. Food, really hard to choose from the menu, wanted to try everything. Wasn’t disappointed with our choice, was really delicious and beautifully presented from start to finish.

We were treating guests from Marlow, who were very impressed at the Chef being from their home town's star Restaurant! The food, wine and service were all excellent; the team, expertly led by Ollie and Drew were attentive and friendly without overdoing it.

Amazing place. Incredible food and while a little pricier than average, worth every penny. Will definitely make the effort to travel to Aldeburgh again for The Suffolk

A friendly greeting and shown to our table with the menu and a detailed description of the food and wine. There is a pleasant buzz of guests enjoying themselves and the evening begins. The food was excellent with special mention to the steak tartar and the lobster. The wine, a recommendation, was superb. The staff were efficient and friendly with all the tables being well served. This is restaurant on top of it's game.

Outstanding service and delicious food staff went above and beyond. The cod ceviche and cheese scone were delicious. The new menu offered a welcomed change and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening out and will be returning very shortly. Thank you the Suffolk :)

The best place I’ve been to in a long time…. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left. Superb food in beautiful surroundings. Incredible friendly and non pretentious. Excellent value and quality. Thank you for making our Suffolk trip memorable. Best place in the area by a long shot. We will be back again v soon …

1st time to this wonderful place, the service was spot on not too much they just ensured that everyting was my liking, The dressed crab, Roasted Cod and then the trifle were really good, could not fault the cooking in any way. For a Sunday night they were busy so booking in advance would be my suggestion

Great food and service! Lovely seafood (dressed crab, monkfish scampi and cod) and great cocktails, loved that they champion local produce, would recommend!

Everything was faultless, if you’re thinking about it, just go. I had thought it to be a fish restaurant but the menu covers everything. I had venison and it was outstanding, but it all was outstanding.

We’ve been going to the Suffolk ever since it was the Le Escargot su mer, before the rooms were open and indeed before the bar and front of house was completed and it’s always been a fantastic place to eat. From the new menu I can particularly recommend the Chicken Kiev and the Scampi. They’ve a new chef there now and from what I can work out he’s adding his own touch here and there. Cannot recommend highly enough
