   Service was good, Beef a bit thin and tasteless and I was not able to swap cabbage for cauliflower cheese even tho this was on the menu? Some veggies were almost raw.

   The food was excellent however the service was quite poor. We asked for water for the table 4 times to two different staff, finally it arrived. The starters and main were very good but waiting for the dessert took around 20 minutes just to order. The pub by this time was pretty empty. It also appeared as though there was a change of staff around 8pm which seemed to affect the service.

   Seeing how busy they were I was surprised by how promptly the food service was. Also there was a very good attention to detail. Overall a very good experience especially as it seemed to be the busiest time of the day.

   Food was absolutely amazing we had the Sunday Roast sharing board the meat was cooked to perfection melt in you mouth all veg had taste! We shared a couple of desserts and again beautiful couldn’t fault anything. Thank you

   Absolutely beautiful pub! Food was delicious and well presented and the staff we're all so lovely and couldn't do enough for you! Evie was our waitress and her service was wonderful. Will definitely be returning. The fact it was dog friendly was a bonus!

   We really enjoyed our meal at the Star on Thursday lunchtime. Whilst I was there, I gave my business card to the waitress to pass onto the owner. I represent Creation Office - based in Uttoxeter and we would be really interested in helping with any refurbishments at either of your venues. We have our own in-house team of fitters and specialise in commercial fitouts and refurbishments, including Cat A & B projects, washroom upgrades, partitioning and ceilings.
