   Food was excellent and the service was the same. Attentive staff without being overly so. We had two of the mocktails and they were lovely. The soup and salmon were excellent and well portioned. Originally we were just going to have a starter and main but it was so delicious we also had a dessert. Again excellent quality and good portion sizes.

   Honestly the food was kind of inoffensive but ultimately just tasteless. There’s an open kitchen but I don’t know what they’re doing in there. Service was lovely- 100% recommend for a drink but the food just didn’t do anything or have any flavor. Sorry guys.

   Sadly we were very disappointed with our meal at The Rise Restaurant. There was not a lot of choice on the menu, meagre portions, poor quality ingredients and some of the food we had was cold. With hindsight we should have complained on the night but because we were there for a special birthday for my husband ,I didn’t want to spoil the night because the meal already had. We were upset and quite shocked at how bad it was . Because we booked in good faith. On a positive note the staff were attentive.

   Excellent experience - afternoon tea 2x vegetarian - portion sizes great, with excellent variety of small savoury/ sweet nibbles. Plus box to take remaining items home. Staff attentive & helpful.

   I expected a quiet lounge but it felt more like we were sat in a bar with tables very close. Quality of food very good. Service initially pleasant and very good. However when we asked a different waitress for our uneaten cakes to be boxed as other customers had done, we were presented with an empty box! My wife on her birthday outing was not happy. She asked the waitress to box the cakes which she then did. An unfortunate episode which soured what was meant to be an enjoyable experience. We won’t be going back. 12.5% service charge compulsory-I wouldn’t have paid it otherwise.
