The Relais is named in honour of our motorsports heritage and the menus celebrate our seaside location.

Just steps from the beach, The Rally Restaurant enjoys the best views in the house and a spacious terrace for seasonal al fresco dining.

Enjoy fresh and seasonal menus including the ‘catch of the day’ supplied by our local Sussex fishermen. Our menus change with the season with a focus on fish and seafood and locally sourced ingredients.

A lovely beachfront setting in their recently refurbished restaurant. Relaxing natural vibes in a very well appointed dining area with central glass round open fire to finish your evening off around. Staff are very attentive and a good selection of cocktails and very well presented food on the menu. One of our favourite drive to destinations, especially in good weather to walk along the beach afterwards looking at the amazing beachfront properties on Hebrand Walk next door. Well worth the drive!!

I booked Sunday lunch as a present for a friend and we were both highly impressed with everything, from the warm welcome, smiley and efficient staff, absolutely stunning food and a wonderful ambience owing to the background Jazz duo. This was our first visit and will certainly not be our last. Would highly recommend.

We ate here with friends , they hadn’t eaten here for a while whereas I had dined with a group of ladies last summer. Our experience was good , just didn’t overly impress . Food was tasty and plentiful , our friends enjoyed what they had and have said they would definitely dine there again . Nice for a weekend meal out but perhaps not a special occasion as the quality of the cooking does not match the high expectations of a special meal out. However , we did enjoy the experience and would return .

We do Enjoy visiting for lunch to meet the family. But Sunday roast was not hot , warm only . Did tell the girl server and she went and got hot gravy . That did not help. Disappointed to say the least .

Good food. Good wine selection. Great location on the beach. We weren’t aware that there was a bar menu and a restaurant menu. We were given the specials menu and a Christmas menu, so limited choice. Other than that, a good experience.

Service leaves a lot to be desired with s number of staff standing round the central console chatting and not looking out to the tables. Food tasteless which is not their normal standard

I chose the only vegan option available. This turned out to be what was basically a leek and potato pie, accompanied by overcooked roast potatoes and undercooked Brussels sprouts. The carrot and parsnip were ok. The pie was tasteless. When asked how the food was I said it was poor. I received a 50% discount on the price of the dish - £12.50 instead of £25. This was a special occasion with my 95 year old mum and was a big disappointment. The meal was very disappointing and at 50% discount still overpriced. A big disappointment.

We ate in the beautifully refurbished restaurant- limited menu selection of 2 or 3 course meal £33 and £38 respectively. Starters were very nice pate, fish cakes, soup, beetroot salad. Main course roast with selection of meats or nutroast. Usual accompaniments of veg. Small selection of pudding including a beautiful cheese board £6 sup. But, whilst the meats were really good the cauliflower cheese was awful water lodged with no seasoning and a bit of melted cheese. Potatoes were hard and school dinner ish. Carrots were delicious and red cabbage too. Yorkshire puds shoot off the plate hard and burnt. A serious lack of gravey it was too dry. We tried to get the attention of the staff but gave up and our plates went to clearance with food still on them. Such a shame. The atmosphere was stunning a very talented jazz singer lady, Christmas spirit, very busy not empty table! The service was great at the start, very attentive beautiful attractive staff in spotless uniforms delivering silver service level. But as the restaurant emptied the service fell. This is a stunning location they've spent a fortune doing it up and maybe we had a bad day, but we were saddened by the average meal. We will be back but not on set menu. Wine selection was good our bill for 6 people with three people driving averaged £55pp which still isn't bad so value was good but the food was OK not special.
