Located in the heart of Waterford’s Viking Triangle (link to WVT web), the Reg consists of 5 bars built around the 900-year-old City Wall constructed at the same time as the adjacent Reginald’s Tower. Each bar has its own unique character and offering. We are Great Place to Work Certified and also Won Best Late Night Bar in Ireland for 2022.
With such a wide variety of areas to eat and drink in please specify when booking if there is a particular area you would like to be sat.

Please note that our SUAS Restaurant is only available Friday and Saturday evenings.

We got the fish and chips and the chicken burger it was outstanding, such big portions and for great value, we also got the brownie and a creme brûlée and that was amazing also. The staff weren’t intrusive or annoying they were so kind and over all we both loved it.

I ordered the 'Beyond Burger' & hand cut chips last night & I got soggy fries & a regular burger, nothing special & wondered what 'Beyond Burger' actually meant?? I had been in Supermacs earlier that same day & to be honest, we were sorry we didn't goback there instead as the Reg was not worth the money! My son got the Katsu chicken curry & that was tasty but needed veg in the dish. Service was good but then when paying, just a blank face & no apology when I complained about my meal, I wouldn't go back!

Bar food no frills. Food was good value. Slow with drink orders but overall service was satisfactory.

Booked while staying for the weekend. Good portions of food but meat dried out. Lamb shank and roast beef were tough to eat, was like it was cooked and reheated.

Three people went to the Reg for dinner and a long overdue catch up. To say the food was awful is an understatement. One had fish which was undercooked, frozen, not fresh and sent back. The salad that was then ordered was thrown together. My pear and beetroot salad was just leaves, with four pieces of beetroot and three pieces of pear. The other order of chicken curry was uneaten. The staff said absolutely nothing to explain why. On arrival home I promptly got sick. NEVER will we return

Great food! We had the fish special and the lamb shank. Both were very good. Dessert was terrific (brulee and chocolate brownie). Service was ok but not great.

We were trying to find any restaurant in Waterford that was open on Monday night and The Reg seemed to be the best of limited options. The food was good and plentiful. The service (probably because it was a Monday night) was hit or miss. The atmosphere is Irish pub-like, which was fine with us. Overall value was pretty good for a rainy Irish Monday evening.
