    We found all of our dishes to be cold and very salty for consumption. The sourdough we ordered as a starter looked burnt on the outside and was nearly impossible to cut through and chew, let alone spread butter on. We mentioned this to our server and he was kind enough to take it off the bill, much appreciated. My guest mentioned his drink was too tart and not to his liking with the Pinot noir splash, he also ordered the burger and the bun was cold to touch and the patty was salty. My scallops and potatoes were also cold and very very salty. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy our food and I do not remember the last time I’ve been here that I was unsatisfied like this.     This is a challenging review to write. The food and cocktails were excellent. Truly the best French dip that I have ever had and a wonderful, creative Harvest Salad with Brussels sprouts and squash and bacon in a lovely, creamy lemon vinaigrette. Well-made, tasty cocktails led by an olive-oil infused martini which I will promptly try to replicate at home. Now for the bad part—The service was terrible and colored the entire experience. Our server would simply disappear for long periods of time. Poof—gone. Nowhere to be seen. And I mean long periods…..Like 20 minutes. Our drink order sat on the bar for at least 15 minutes, maybe longer. I could see it from where I was sitting and almost went up to pick it up myself. Our drinks finally were delivered about 30 seconds before our food, which was delivered by a runner, not our server. At this point, our server again disappeared and we had to ask another server for our check. We did notice other tables that were assigned to him asking other servers for help. In retrospect, the problem started at the very beginning of our visit. We waited a long time for a greeting, and then lets just say he set a leisurely pace for both our drink and food orders. And, this was a late lunch on a weekday. The first floor was maybe half full and the top floor was totally closed, so the mystery remains of where our server could possibly have been stealing off to. And I should add that there was not one acknowledgement from our server, or anyone else, that there was a problem. Guess this is the experience that you are going for? Net effect is that my dining mate will not return. I may try again—The food was that good. Overall, a great experience to remind one that the service really does matter.

    Ambience and staff were great. Issue was the breakfast tacos. The taco literally had a sliver of bacon. I mean the thinnest tiniest piece of bacon. And just stuffed with eggs. That was disappointing. Do not recommend ordering that dish.

    While I realize restaurants have off nights and hate to leave a bad review, I do believe it’s important to share feedback. Meal started off with drinks- our friends wine was brought to table but we waited and waited for the mixed drinks and finally had to ask about them. The apps were sold except the artichoke had hardly any “meat” on it- it was either undercooked or just not a very meaty one. The main courses were fine- with the exception of the scallops. I never do this, but had to send back. I did appreciate the waitress rushing my new main, but nothing was done to compensate for the meal send back. The scallops were so small - like they had been cut in half horizontally to make it look like there were more. And there were only Maybe 4 total and horribly overcooked! I needed up getting the Brussels sprouts salad and it was good, except the butternut squash was literally undetectable- it was so tiny and sparse. My friend ordered the same salad and asked for no bacon but it came with bacon. And EVRYTHING was way over salted.

    My branzino and my friend’s truffle pasta were excellent. Our appetizers were delicious and the waiter was very patient as it took us a long time before we were ready to order. He had to come back several times. The atmosphere is lively. I’d recommend it!

    Overall good food...pizza with chorizo and brussel sprouts very good...a little skimpy in calamari....caper sauce with halibut quite salty...Eric and bus people were very attentive

    Had not been back for awhile but wanted to revisit. Our son finished his piano performance at music school and this was his treat. It is great that this restaurant has a kids menu and also great food for the adults. Eric P provided great service. Our fish and steak weee perfectly grilled. Our son was perfectly happy with the kids menu. Extra bonus that Eric P provided our kid with a desert for completing his piano performance that afternoon. A sign of a well trained and very motivated staff to be aware of special situations. Will be back!
