The Neighbourhood Kitchen | Bar | Garden offers a casual yet refined dining experience with freshly cooked dishes using the finest Scottish produce. Our Bar stocks a carefully chosen wine list and handpicked selection of malt whisky and craft gins, along with exciting cocktails that are Instagram-ready. Our newly refurbished bar & restaurant provides a warm and friendly atmosphere perfect for a Saturday night out, as well as for a family dinner. Our beer garden is described by many as a hidden gem, as it is located in our well-appointed garden where you’ll be surrounded by many beautiful plants and easily forget you're in the city centre of Edinburgh when enjoying a cocktail or two.

Me and a a friend needed somewhere to go before seeing a show at the Churchill theatre, with lots of places booked up we got a table here. The food and service was absolutely excellent can’t fault it , we just wish we had more time to enjoy it a bit more! Will defiantly be back!!!

Sunday lunch. We were the only booking in the entire place, so not busy. Staff were very pleasant but service so slow. Food OK with good choice. Clean toilets.

I think this place could be so much better. There is no buzz about it and the food is average. The location lends itself to be something much better. The service was lovely, but ii’s difficult to have any atmosphere when it’s empty on a Saturday lunchtime when it could be buzzing. It needs a total rethink in my opinion. If it served interesting tapas style food or even good quality home cooking, I’m sure it would work. In the summer, lots of people are in the area and I’m sure many would pop in. Not well advertised either-who would know it was there unless they knew already.

Very quiet on a Sunday night but had an enjoyable meal with friends. Kids entertained by the football on TV, and all had good service.

We went to The Neighbourhood for drinks and a meal out for my birthday, and it was amazing. We got there before our time slot as not living in Edinburgh and not knowing exactly where it was. we wanted to ensure we had time as we were walking. We were told it was fine and could grab drinks and was shown to a little booth. The place was quiet, which was nice but still had others in. We had a couple of drinks before ordering food. We were looked after by Finlay and Archie. Both of them were very polite, kind, and helpful. After we had dinner they asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu to which I replied joking "do they do birthday cake" I was then asked about the booking being for a birthday as when I booked it asked if it was for a special occasion. I said and when they asked if it was mine or my partners I said mine. We both ordered the sticky toffee pudding and they had gone above and beyond with it being on a larger plate saying happy birthday in raspberry sauce, five macaroons around the edge and a dusting of coca powder and icing sugar. Along with the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and a pot of toffee sauce they also put a candle on it which was just amazing. We had an amazing night and I felt very spoilt just from the service. A massive thank you to Finlay and Archie.

What a great evening we had here on Saturday 2nd December. Despite having a wedding party to cater for, they kindly pushed our booking back an hour at short notice. Food and wine excellent and service outstanding. Thank you
