   Absolutely flawless Sunday lunch, excellent service and a lovely atmosphere! Brought my friend yesterday for a very belated birthday treat as I’d visited before and you guys did not disappoint! The service was excellent, all the ladies who served us were so friendly and lovely and the food was absolutely flawless (I eat at Tom Kerridge’s when I’m in London and I commented that the Manor’s Sunday lunch was better!) The food was cooked perfectly and the cauliflower cheese was lush! Desserts of sticky toffee pudding and cookie ice cream were delicious too and we had a wonderful afternoon with beautiful food catching up and taking it all in. Thank you all so very much…we’ll definitely be back! Ps thank you for the little one extra birthday treat for my friend!

   Fabulous food, excellent service, Jane is simply the best host. Always a very warm welcome and she and the kitchen staff are amazing in dealing with our friend’s serious food allergies. All food is cooked fresh with quality ingredients and presented in a fine dining style. Also there is a lovely patio to sit outdoors in the sunshine overlooking the beautiful countryside. Well worth a visit.

    Arrived slightly early for our booking to be told there was a large 12 party in front of us and there would be a delay--why take the booking then?? It was 20 mins before they came to take the wine order, another delay before they brought it ( how long does it take to get a bottle out the fridge and bring 2 glasses over) when approached about ordering food we were told there would be a long delay and we should consider having a starter. At this point I had had enough and said what i thought of the situation, I/we were then told that there had been no gas and everything was backed up, steaks ordered and again told there would be a significant delay, I did say that were local and that I was about to get up and go, to which we were offered complimentary starters, These were accepted and we waited, very nice. Mains duly arrived and again were very nice. The so called garden room didn't even have a plant and totally lacked any atmosphere........... On receiving the bill they highlighted the service charge and said this didn't have to be paid........wait a minute another bill with no service charge!!! To be told they were so busy but that there were still 12 covers available in our room...... Wine -well a £30 bottle of PG was nice but same bottle available at £11. This I probably wouldn't have mentioned but the whole evening to celebrate the completion of a big order was spoilt. We had never been before and will we go back????? If I'm honest I would rather go back to The Elms ( been a few times) or The Baiting House again ( been a few times) or The Bell It would have been better for everybody if they had said there was a problem with the gas when we arrived(if in fact they did have a gas problem) Every day is a learning day
