For those looking for a little something extra to celebrate with friends or for a special family lunch, The Ivy St. John’s Wood offers a semi-private dining area, seating up to 8 guests. Positioned at the back of the restaurant, the semi-private dining area was designed to provide an intimate area within the main restaurant, giving you the option of a more private setting. Available for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner reservations it offers the perfect setting for group bookings, whatever the occasion. No minimum spend or set menus required. Guests are invited to order from the restaurant’s main menus. The restaurant also offer a table seating 10 guests in the main restaurant, the ideal place to celebrate family birthdays or gatherings in the bustling atmosphere of the restaurant.

Very disappointing experience from an old favourite. The service was incredibly slow and poor, feeling very disorganised and slap-dash all night. The waiter taking our orders tried to walk away my companion ordered and before I did! We had to ask for our drinks order to be chased up 3 times and were almost finished our meal by the time they arrived, and my tea after dinner took more than 20 minutes to arrive. The food was also not nearly as good as previously - the crispy duck salad had obviously been plated hours before as parts of the sale were stuck to the plate, and the duck was no longer crisp and shredded, rather roughly chopped, not very crisp and mostly fat and skin, and there was basically no easy greens. The value just isn't there for us anymore - very sad

Superb location for a business lunch, great service and food in a really nice atmosphere. Always a favourite of mine as it maintains a high standard from the moment you’re welcomed by the maitre D. Bravo

I had a best time in the IVy last Friday. The food and the service was outstanding. The set menu was £65 PP but they charged us too much on alcohol for only three glasses of wine. But I definitely go back to it.

- Dined at the Ivy in St John’s Wood and had the Valentine’s set menu, unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations - Asked for Rosé and twice what we requested was out of stock, ended up forced to order the most expensive Rosé with no consideration - Side dishes not brought out with main meal - Overall slightly disappointed and didn’t feel value for money

When we walked in excellent service, but they put us in a really tiny table, we had to ask them to move us which they did. Food is so so I wouldn't rate it brilliant my wife ordered a soup. I ordered a main meal but the soup came before the main meal.

Over prices, Small Portions, Cod was more batter and frozen, wine expensive, Not very busy for a Saturday night and cold, I can see why

The Ivy is keen to position itself as “upscale“, but our experience was decidedly mid. We went for an early dinner, and despite a completely empty dining room, the hostess wanted to seat us very near the door, and nearest the entrance to the service area. Some of the patrons at the bar were wearing ball caps, in spite of the restaurant’s posted dress code, and management decided not to enforce its own rules. The food was okay, but not special. The liquor selection was equally mid, with absolutely no single malt scotches - in the UK? - and a weak selection of American bourbons. The icing on the cake was the cocktail menu, or as they spelled it on the printed menus, “cocktial”. The waiter eagerly brought us the dessert menu following the entrees, but when it was time to order something sweet, we couldn’t get arrested! So we paid the bill and left. Weak.
