    We booked to celebrate my nieces 16th birthday and Ivy Asia didn’t disappoint. The ambience and service was impeccable. We requested if two separate reservations could be next to each other, with warnings beforehand this couldn’t be guaranteed, however as it was fairly early dinner booking they kindly managed to locate us within very close proximity to each other. We appreciate they accommodated us, as I know larger parties can be difficult to serve, with food coming out at different times etc. We went for the Samurai menu, and both our children had the kids menu, whilst I know some other guests in our group had a la carte. Food was presented beautifully, tasted lovely and the kids menu was especially worth it. We had a cake with us, but were informed they could only present the cake and we were not to consume on the premises (due to food and hygiene reasons), which we were more than happy to adhere to. Overall we had a great experience and would visit again. Also, Caprice Holdings always comes through with the magnificent decor! Snaps fingers :-)

    Fabulous afternoon tea, makes a change from the quintessential English style tea! A delicious range of Asian inspired foods, and there was plenty to eat. Amazing and attentive staff, and stunning decor inside, even in the toilets! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

    I am still so excited about the food we had for lunch today! Fabulous so good ! And the service was superb - why can’t all restaurants deliver this ? It made the meal. I want to go back right now ❤️❤️❤️

    We had an amazing taster menu last night. The service was very attentive and the food was fantastic. A huge well done to all at Ivy Asia.

    Absolutely love this restaurant, great ambiance and service but the food is amazing. We had a bar seat but this didn’t detract from a table service, in fact got drinks much quicker and can speak with the bar staff. Highly recommended

    Always accommodating and friendly staff. Professional and attentive. Love the whole ambience and dynamics of this restaurant. Would recommend. But you will need to book ahead.

    We booked the afternoon tea experience at £43 per head which the waitress explained we could have our tea at the beginning of the experience or at the end. We said we would have it at the end. We spent £67 worth of points vouchers but then an e fess of £96 on top of this. We never received the tea at the end of our meal and the tables were seated very closely together so you could hear the people on the tables either sides conversations. We were also told that we would not get loyalty points for our additional spend as we had part paid our bill with some loyalty points, which was disappointing.

    The food, the service, the decor - all amazing. But we went on a Friday night and the thumping club track soundtrack that dominates this culinary experience is brutally unpleasant. It's so loud that even on a table of four, you won't be able to hear the person opposite you. And it's such a shame because this wonderful restaurant doesn't need such intrusive music to build an atmosphere. We expected it to be a garish, bright, buzzy, over the top experience. What we didn't need was the side dish of bleeding ear drums. So The Ivy Asia Guildford is a great choice if you can lip read or are stuck in a relationship where you no longer wish to speak to your partner (no awkward silences). It well works too if you simply want to drift through an evening nodding silently in agreement with the person next to you, even though you have no idea what they are talking about. It could be quite a Zen experience. On the upside, I've heard the music during the day is more relaxed than the 285bpm evening play list and there's a private room available to hire. But all that said, what do I know? It was rammed with diners who all seemed pretty happy eating, drinking and shouting loudly at each other. Maybe eating amazing salt cod in the middle of a stunning restaurant with a club bangers blaring away is why they come here. Sadly, I'm not sure its for me.

    The ambience at the Ivy Asia is wonderful and it’s an experience to be there. The food is excellent especially if you enjoy different Asian cuisines. Finally, the service is first class without being overbearing. We had a lovely evening.
