The Italiano, the newest masterpiece by Chef Joey Maggiore and his team of culinary geniuses, located at 90th Street and Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, the elevated Italian restaurant will be The Maggiore Group’s sixth concept introduced to the Valley’s award-winning dining scene.

The Italiano exudes an ambiance of casual elegance, blending warmth with sophistication, while offering authentic Italian dishes that transport you to the very heart of culinary tradition in Italy. The menu will feature the flavors of old-school red sauce Italian cuisine with a Chef Joey touch. Interactive tableside experiences will include an antipasto cart where guests can curate their own plate with over 30 different items. There will also be a must-try Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart.

The Italiano's lounge and bar will be open at 3pm, and reservations will begin at 5pm for main dining.

When we first arrived, we were pleased with the overall decor and ambiance. Then the Waiter came over and was pleasant, personable and prompt. Wine selection was good, and our meals, the filet mignon was perfectly cooked. I had let them know ahead of time that it was my Wife's birthday, and they brought a small dessert with a candle. Just perfect! We then went up to the bar for an after-dinner drink. Great again! Overall great experience!

Our experience was very good. Our waiter Greg was amazing! The food was excellent, we had the Bolognese and Lasagna! The music was slightly louder than I would have it but enjoyed the Frank Sinatra tunes. We will be going back!

Went h ft or my son’s birthday. First time going and we had a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful he did an excellent job decorating. It wasn’t loud like some had said it has been. The bar area is gorgeous. Our waiter was excellent Shawn and the general manager Michael also was every nice came to the table a few times. We ordered our dinner no appetizers. Ordered linguine with clams wine sauce very good penne alla vodka was excellent. Rib eye was ordered with mash potatoes and asparagus, rib eye was excellent ordered the stuffed eggplant with gnocchi. Dessert was excellent had a lemon tart it was lemony so you have to like lemon and the tiramisu was excellent and decorated so nice. Had the cream puffs they were also delicious. They brought out a slice of birthday cake for my son’s birthday and that was delicious. Will be returning for sure.

This was our first time at The Italiano. Our server, Kenneth, was fantastic! We had an amazing dinner and a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back!

The Italiano is a very nice upscale restaurant . A great deal of work had gone into the decor which is nicely done. There is a lot of staff and service is excellent. However, the noise level is beyond loud! Unfortunately we were seated near the piano where a talented musician played jazzy music but it only added to the uncomfortable level of noise. For a large restuarant (capacity posted at 330), the entrance / foyer is very small. We waited with a group of people for our 8pm reservations in a hallway that the wait staff needed to use to serve customers. They had to dodge this crowd with service items. The half walls of the hall meant we were standing right over diners on the other side - did not feel comfortable for us or the diners. Guests leaving the restaurant also had to work their way through the crowd to exit. Our meal - shared grilled octopus appetizer, fettuccine with clams, lobster ravioli, shared cannoli dessert - were all excellent. Unfortunately, the noise level and crowded entrance area will not encourage us to revisit Italiano.

My husbands dinner came out 10 minutes later than ours. We were a party of 4. We requested a certain table and if not we listed 2 other tables when we made our reservation and with a specific waiter. The waiter was off and we were told they can’t guarantee a table. Never have a problem getting our favorite table when we request at other restaurants like Steak 44 when we make our open table reservation and add request to the notes.
