The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders.

Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. We also have a comfortable outdoor terrace and garden area with picturesque babbling brook.

We also have a small in-pub coffee shop and delicatessen! Selling the best of local produce, bread, milk and a selection of luxury food and drink items, the shop is open whenever we are. We also provide great coffees to drink in or take away.

Our menu focusses on great steaks and seafood (vegetarian/ vegan always available).

Note: There are two pubs called the Horse and Groom in the area - we are the Horse and Groom Inn at Upper Oddington.

Join us for our special, fun end-of -year celebration dinner, quiz and party. Dinner will be followed by our annual New Year's Eve Quiz, rounding off the year with a disco before welcoming in 2025 at the 'bongs' of Big Ben. Our bar will be open until 1am to enable you to see in the New Year in style! We will provide a special set menu with vegetarian/ vegan and gluten-free options available. Details of the menu for the evening is available at https://www.horseandgroomcotswolds.co.uk/events. Once you have booked for this event, we will contact you for a menu pre-order. We require pre-orders by close of business on 28 December. This is a pre-paid experience. Cancellations made within 10 days of the event are non-refundable.

My parents were down for the weekend and we needed somewhere nice for Sunday lunch. We live in the Cotswolds but had never been here. It did not disappoint. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The fire was on and the pub had a great atmosphere. We all had the Sunday roasts. The beef was cooked to perfection and was extremely soft and tasty. Crispy roast potatoes but not overdone. Great portion size and the Yorkshire puddings were the size of baby’s head! You made my Father’s Day when he asked if there was any crackling left and the waitress came back with a little plateful! :) Would definitely recommend, especially as all food is sourced locally. Thank you for a very pleasant couple of hours.

An absolute hidden gem! The team couldn't have been more helpful, food was fantastic cooked perfectly. We will definitely be going back very soon.

Lovely Cotswolds pub with decent food and a nice ambience. Good selection of beers.

We have stayed here before and dined so decided to dine again whilst staying in Stow! The food was as good as we had before but the service wasn’t great this time- so much so felt gutted that we had to pay a service charge as wouldn’t have left a tip!!! At no point did any one of the 3 waiting staff ask if everything was okay- we were left a long time with empty plates and glasses! I had to ask 3 times for a drink and also after waiting over half an hour I had to ask for the desert menu as hadn’t been offered it!!!! Not sure I would return !!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at The Horse & Groom. I did feel that £30 service charge was a little extortionate! If we’d had six bottles of wine the service charge would obviously of been much higher. I don’t think the current system is fair, but apart from that everything was just great. ☺️

We had an exceptional time. So glad we found this sweet gem of a place. Just a lovely setting for dinner. Best meal we ate in the Cotswolds. I wish we had known about this Inn before we booked elsewhere. I would have loved to stay here too. Kudos Norman!!
