   We had a lovely meal. Food really tasty, good portions and whole family very happy! Lovely sea bass and burgers in particular and food fresh and hot.. .couldn't fault! Thank you!

   A hidden gem. A great country pub offering a high quality food. Great service from the friendly staff. Well worth a second visit. Dogs are made very welcome as well.

   I came here as my ancestors were somehow evolved in this site way back in the Inns early history . Old history buff! So I was excited! I was expecting more history to be visible or displayed or even a more robust write up with the menu than was and as it wasn’t the ambiance was a little less than I had imagined. The menu served for our visit was adequate but not some of the dishes I had expected from the website. All and all it was a nice average experience. Everyone was very friendly & all the patrons seemed very happy!

   Our first time here since it was taken over, it was really good. Great food from a concise menu with a good choice of vegetarian and even vegan dishes if needed as well as excellent meat and fish . Lovely welcome, good beer and a great ambience.

   Food was delicious, a duck ragou with herb crusted gnocchi and parmasan and a smash beef burger with triple cooked chips! Service was excellent. Highly recommend this little gem of a pub! xx

    The £10 mains deal was on and it was exceptional value. Big portion sizes and excellent quality of food. Service was great as ever and lovely ambience, nothing to fault!
