   Do not expect special treatment or ambience at Afternoon Tea. Having had a Wedding & 2 Baby Showers at this hotel I treated 2 friends to go for Afternoon Tea last Friday March 28th. It started badly by telling us there was no booking for us. When it finally arrived the food was pathetic & sandwiches made from pan sliced bread with processed ham & cheese. There was a tiny scone on a huge plate & a few tiny desserts on the top plate. The Management weren't that interested when I complained & offered a discount of 10%. Spoke to Patrick & explained that our treat was ruined & food diabolical so I paid for the Prosecco that we had & we left. Very upset at the treatment & food we got & certainly will not be going again. Very very disappointed not the standard it used to be. Christina

   Lovely relaxing unhurried experience in a beautiful room.We just had soup but it was delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly. One of my fave places to relax in Galway.

   The oysters and the lamb tasted incredible but the portions were pathetic. We both ordered lamb that came perfectly cooked and seasoned but was literally smaller than a hot dog (for 35 euro). We actually laughed at how small the food was. The oysters were local and prepped really well, loved them. Noise level was atrocious. A large group of women came in from an event elsewhere in the hotel and they were horrendously loud. We had to be moved to a quieter spot in the restaurant and even that was too loud. Management did nothing to quiet them down or offer any of the other guests any compensation for the interruption. Overall I thought they handled it very poorly.

   Worst expérience ever After being seated waited 45 min No one came so had to go get my drinks myself Food took another 45 min Had to get up and go order my dinner at the bar because our waitress never came Food order came back wrong twice No came back to check on us Rude staff Hated it woukd never go back And don’t recommend Better to stay away from this place so many better options close by

   Incredibly poor service. Deserts and starter dreadful. Nothing done when we complained. Almost empty on a Saturday night on a bank holiday weekend ,obvious why! We were out to celebrate a big birthday and happy to spend the money but not to be robbed. I sent an email to the hardiman and got no reply. Brilliant customer service on top of everything else!!

   Lovely friendly staff could not help more. Lovely selection of wine with sharing boards. Nice setting in the red heart of Galway.

   While I do recognise it was valentines night, our food took 90 minutes, and noone came at any point to say it may take some time. We did have people come with incorrect orders twice though. I got the monkfish special with celaric puree at 40 euro. It consisted of 3 little nuggets of monkfish with 3/4 dots of celeriac on the plate for dressing and a large mound of mashed potatoes. I felt this was really misleading for the price I paid. It was tasty but was mainly just a plate of mashed potatoes

   The waiter spilled the drinks on our food and in our clothes but we didn’t even receive any complimentary and he also thought of serving the starter with spilled wine on it. It ruined our valentines date.

   My girlfriend and i had a great evening here in the Hardiman Hotel. Great Margeritas & service from the gentleman in the bar. Food was wonderful but… no Oysters? Perhaps there’s a dry spell in getting fresh Oysters. Other than the Oysters everything else was wonderful. 10/10

    We stayed at the hotel, which was amazing. But the restaurant was awful. The fish and chips was not fresh and the chicken curry was extremely dry. We’re not recommend going there for dinner .
