Introducing The Greggory, set to open in the Arboretum of South Barrington on March 7th, 2025. This restaurant redefines American classics with a touch of warm, sincere hospitality. The establishment is helmed by seasoned restaurateurs Gregg Horan of Gibsons Restaurant Group and Bill Veremis of Rosewood Steakhouse Group, alongside partner Executive Chef Jose Sosa of Gibsons Italia.
The Greggory caters to the increasing demand in the Northwest suburbs for a local venue that offers a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance. Our dining experience was wonderful. Last time we were there, Jackie served us. Last night it was Elizabeth. Both women were fantastic, very efficient and thoughtful. We didn't have to wait for anything. The Greggory is quickly becoming our favorite area restaurant. And we have to compliment you on your staff. Everyone is so pleasant

Sharp modern swanky decor and welcoming staff. The top- notch service paired perfectly with the delectable menu items. The pop overs melt in your mouth with small hints of caramelized onion. Our group ordered the Tomahawk with homemade steak sauce ( you won't need any sauce). The dish is seasoned to perfection. The portion was just right for 3 people. Order this medium, and you will find the cuts of meat vary from well done on the ends to medium rare in the middle. We paired this with a smooth and velvety pinot noir. We enjoyed the mashed potatoes with added truffle (the chef shaved this table-side, classy). We also opted for the asparagus, which was a tad too smokey for our taste. The char and smoke threatened to overpower the rest of our entrees. The Ceasar salad was fresh and hearty, which complemented the last dish our group ordered, a house-made buttery tortellini. Belissimo! We ended our meal with a few cordials, white chocolate mousse cake, chocolate praline cake, coffee, and cappuccino. Cocktails 10 out of 10. Service 10 out of 10. Ambiance 10 out of 10. Food 8 out of 10 ( room to grow). Price point 8 out of 10. The steak ranks in the top five for me and lives somewhere just between Cafe Napoli and Gene and Georgetti's. We'll be back to check out the seafood entrees! 🔥

Garrett the manager was awesome! Servers were great. Homemade pasta with vodka sauce was the fav. Will be going back for sure!

Fine, better option than what is in the area presently. They’re new, it’s good, will work the bugs out. We’ll try them again in a couple weeks and check progress.

Pretty decor but way too many tables crammed together in the back left dining room. People next to us as asked to be moved because they were too close. It was very loud. Bill with tip came to $247 with no alcohol and no dessert for two people. Prime rib was ok and the filet had a sauce on it. Service was ok but they did have a lot of people running around.

We were super excited to try this new restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was superb. This is one of the hottest restaurants in the Northwest Suburbs. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended the Steak, Pasta and Key Lime Cheesecake.

The new Gregory is beautiful. The bar has many choices, bartender was very knowledgably and made excellent drinks suggestions. Our waitress Dawn was so friendly and knew the menu selections, she was able to make help us select wonderful options. The bus boy was terrific. They have valet parking however the attendant handed me my keys and said it's right there. Not impressed with valet.

Overall a great experience. Main Courses are well prepared and you get a good amount for the price. Some of the bar bites a bit bland but the apps and sides are very good. Service has been outstanding. We've been a few times and Brad and Jacob at the bar and Angelica at our table were notable. Happy to have it in our area!
