Das The Oak Room at the Granville Inn wird als National Historic Landmark geführt und ist ein Hotel mit Personal. Das 1924 gegründete Restaurant ist ein Beispiel für das Arts and Crafts Movement. Der berühmte Architekt Frank Packard verarbeitete hier heimischen Sandstein, intensiv gefärbte Eichenvertäfelungen und Einflüsse englischer Cottages. Auf der modernen amerikanischen Karte stehen Gerichte, die mit saisonalen Zutaten und klassischen Kochtechniken zubereitet werden. Küchenchef Chad Lavely verwendet nur lokale Produkte, von Hand geschnittene Steaks, Meeresfrüchte, handwerklich hergestellten Käse, von Hand gebackenes Brot und im Haus gemachte Desserts. In der gemütlichen Tavern können Sie traditionelle Cocktails, Craft-Bier und saisonale Getränk genießen.

    New menu at the Granville Inn and it’s really lovely. We particularly enjoyed the new cheese board, the scallop risotto dish and a baked on the spot OH Apple Pie dessert. Restaurant was super busy, but our waitress was very friendly and attentive. In the past it has seemed like some menu items were overdone or trying too hard, but the new menu is refreshed and refreshing. Really enjoyed our meals.

    We usually like this restaurant, but we’re a bit disappointed this time. Staff was friendly, but unfortunately not extremely knowledgeable. Crème Brûlée was awful. We were never asked if our meals were prepared correctly or if we were happy with them. Wine was never poured for us, which you generally see at this price-point. I guess it’s tough to find great service anywhere anymore. Disappointed.

    I was really looking forward to the murder mystery dinner with my fiance and grandmother for Valentines Day but it was not what I expected. I assumed it would be their staff acting out the murder mystery but instead they hand picked guests to play these characters. The only way to solve the mystery was to go around the room asking questions to the characters. I, of course, sat with my 80 yr old grandmother so she wasn’t sitting by herself because she certainly couldn’t walk around the room freely. Lastly, it was very hard for my grandmother and I to follow along as we could hardly hear the storyline.

    This was my first visit to this restaurant which was highly recommended by several to me. Everything was wonderful from the time we walked in until we left. Food, drinks, atmosphere, table that we requested and fire that was burning. Loved it all and definitely will return!

    We loved the ambiance of the dining area. The lunch menu had several options. We ordered sandwiches. The prime rib sandwich could've had some more meat for the price. My husband realized he should've ordered his hamburger well done. Comments by friends were that their salad was smaller than expected. Our server did a great job. It was quiet atmosphere, beautil dining room. Spending time with family and friends in this Inn was an excellent experience.

    Great place to go for lunch and dinner. The patio is the best in summer!

    We had reserved one of the Winter Dining Igloos at Granville Inn. Ours was the Barrel House. Overall we liked the experience. We had been warned that while the igloo was heated we should dress warmly. As it turned out, there was little to no heat and what little heat there was escaped everytime the door was opened. But we had dressed warmly, and GI did provide blankets/throws which helped. The service was outstanding...Noelle was amazing; we could not have asked for better service. Food was good as usual. GI provided hot chocolate and it was delicious. We had a little trouble controlling the sound level of the 'radio' that was provided in the igloo, but it may have been our issue. We had six people in the Igloo...the literature had said that it would hold 8-10; I don't think it would have been comfortable with 8 of us, definitely not with 10. Six seems to be the right number. Granville Inn is one of our favorites, so we definitely will return, but not sure we would rent an Igloo again. At $75 + tax for the rental, it seemed a little much to pay for hot chocolate and no heat.

    Always great service & excellent food. Specials throughout the week. We tried the Wednesday night burger special (smash burger, fries, pint of beer for $20) & it was very, very good. We’ll be repeat customers. I like all the innovative dining experiences the company & staff are presenting to the public. Gem in Granville!

    The service was phenomenal and the waitress made my mom’s birthday very special. The food was good but my dad’s steak was overcooked and my chicken was a little questionable on being cooked enough. Overall was a great evening, just needed to order something different maybe:)
