   We had a wonderful afternoon tea with family. The tea selections were delicious and the pastries and signature dishes were above my expectations. I highly recommend this.

   What a splendid way to spend an afternoon! My husband and I visited The Brown Palace Hotel for afternoon tea today and it did not disappoint. Firstly, the atrium is stunning and a beautiful setting for tea. Hiwat took care of us with impeccable service and we were fortunate to be there as new menu items were being introduced. Hiwat sincerely wanted our feedback on the new items. How nice to directly impact a menu through comments that are valued! John the Entertainment Manager/pianist was a delight to speak with and exquisitely performed the soundtrack for the afternoon. After tea we grabbed a drink in the quaint Ship Tavern where we joked with Charles before having a cigar in the cozy Churchill Bar. This was our second time to have tea at The Brown Palace and each time is a delight.

   This is the 2nd time I have been disappointed at the Brown Place. This time the visit was for high tea. There was a vacuum running for close to 45 minutes while we were there to enjoy a civilized afternoon! My guests and I couldn't think, much less talk! the pianist and harp player couldn't be heard. I requested the vacuuming be stopped, but was told it couldn't be stopped. Extremely disappointed.

   First off we had a member of family with a walker and had to walk up, with assistance up the stairs as we did not see a ramp. Secondly, we were informed that they had plumbing issues and if we needed to use the restroom we needed to go across the street via elevator and taking the walkway across. Couldn't get elevator to work. Pushed button three times and doors wouldn't open. Staff checked bathroom and fortunately toilets flushed, however, there was ugly brown water coming out of the sink There was two sinks and one shower gel which was used as hand soap. Other than the issues mentioned above everyone of the staff was great. The guys out front (valets?) helped carry walker up steps as well as down when leaving. The food was nice and came home with leftovers which mostly consisted of desserts.

   Wonderful experience, we arrived early and walked around to enjoy the architecture before our reservation. Our server, Hiwat, was lovely-the perfect mix of attentive and giving us room to enjoy our time. I had the gluten free tea service and the sandwiches in particular were delicious, a few of the dessert items were a tad too sweet for my taste but a great spread for GF. We will be encouraging our family and friends to go for a special occasion.

    We celebrated 2 birthday's during our tea. The ambiance was impeccable, service was outstanding and we were given plenty of time to enjoy the occasion.
