    Meeting up with friends pre Christmas. It was a nice occasion and we enjoyed it. Good variety of dishes to please everyone

    Table booked for 12 pm took a long time for anyone to come and take a drink order and another 40 mins before the drinks arrived, food was nice when it arrived, I think they were having technical issues with tills, I also had to tell them they had given me the wrong bill at the end of the meal, seemed very disorganised although the staff were very pleasant, not had a problem like this before at this pub so may have just been a bad day.

    We are in England on a family holiday (in our home town) took our Father out to a roast carvery & it was probably the best carvery we’ve ever been to! The service was friendly & very helpful, the food fabulous!

    We came for our anniversary meal and it was lovely, haven’t been for a while but it popped back into my head when we were thinking where to go. First visit for my husband he had the carvery which was plentiful and varied, well cooked and tasty (slightly irksome to have to pay extra for a Yorkshire pudding and pigs in blankets they should be included in a roast dinner) but it looked really nice. I didn’t want anything heavy so opted for the hand crumbed southern chicken with skin on fries, this was lovely, very tasty and freshly made (could have used a small salad garnish or cabbage slaw) but still nice. I had the cherry sundae for dessert and my husband had the crumble both very nice. Nice ambience, plenty of seating and friendly staff. I would recommend and we will return.

    Great food, great service nice atmosphere. Fire alarm went off but think that was a kid playing around but the staff dealt with it well.

    Very poor was put at a table right in front of open door where everyone was coming in draughty not nice waited for drinks had to ask for them then wrong drinks arrived had eaten meal before correct drinks then got told sorry about delay but you have the correct drinks now waitress very nice that helped said have the drinks on us then got charged for the drinks
